Chapter XVIII
Hunter was so excited to go back to check if Sky is awake. Kevin was insistent a while ago and he didn't want to decline the guy since he knew that he's trying to befriend him.
Hunter went back alone, he was running with the skateboard on his hand and a smile on his face, he can feel his excitement flowing down to his entire system but he immediately stopped on his tracks when he saw Sky, Sky who's looking so unearthly with her eyes close while sitting comfortably on the deck.
He started to walk slowly towards her, careful not to wake or startle her. He can't think of anything right now, all he knew is that he wanted to get near her, to touch her or just even talk to her.
The closer he gets the faster his heart beats, he's now in front of her and he can't seem to move, all he did is tower over her and be mesmerized by her presence.
He remain standing there for God knows how long until the skateboard slipped from his arms. When he realized it might wake her up, he tried to keep it from falling and immediately bent down but it was too late, it went straight to the wooden floor of the deck and made an annoying noise.
'Moron!' Hunter hissed to himself, he look back to check if it startled her, sleeping beauty opens her eyes and shot him an alarmed look.
"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to wake you up like that!"
Sky, though still looking a bit disoriented nodded at him and smiled lazily.
His heart skipped a beat. He released a deep breath, looked to his right and to his left as Sky kept staring at him.
He took a seat beside her and attempted to make a conversation but everytime he looks at her he can't think of anything to say.
"Sorry if I left you awhile ago, I just can't say no to Kevin, he seems nice" Hunter told Sky.
"Yeah I'm surprised you went out with them but it's fine we're here to have fun."
Hunter look relieved
"I knew you're different the moment I met you." seryosong sabi sa kaniya ni Hunter
Sky lift one eye brow and eye him directly
"Really? What kind of different? Weird kinda different?"
"No Silly. Special kinda different." Hunter said as he moved closer and pinched her left cheek.
Lumawak ang ngiti niya, magaan na ang pakiramdam ni Sky ngayon and she's willing to give their date a second chance.
Hunter smiled back at her.
'Cute' bulong ni Sky sa sarili
"You too." sagot sa kaniya ni Hunter
"Huh?"
'Did I just said it out loud?'
Hunter look amused. "I said you look cute too."
AWKWARD.
