"Kumalma ka nga," seryosong sabi ni Kyle. Kanina pa niya iyon pinauulit-ulit. Monica doesn't bother to listen, or maybe she does, she just really can't calm down.

Padabog na umupo si Monica sa bench na madalas inuupuan ni Ace, "Bakit kasi kailangan sa klase pa niya?"

"It's not anyone's fault," Kyle stated.

She sighed, "Oo nga, pero hindi ko maintindihan. Gusto kong mag-aral at maging kaklase si Razen."

"You're the one who told me that there's nothing you can't do. Walang imposible sa'yo 'di ba?"

"Oo nga, pero Kyle naman, eh. This time I feel hopeless. Anong laban ko sa taong buhay? Idagdag mo pa na maganda siya."

Kyle laughed.

"Anong nakakatawa?" inis na tanong ni Monica.

"You just confessed," Kyle pointed out, still laughing.

Hindi kumibo ang kausap nito. She sighed a lot more, "I wish I'm still alive,"

Kyle stopped laughing, tumagos sa puso niya ang sinabi ng multo. Ramdam niya ang sobrang kalungkutan sa mga salitang binitiwan nito.

"All this time, you were faking it?" Kyle asked.

"Ha?"

"I thought you already accepted your fate. I thought you can be happy even if you're already dead. I never thought you're wishing that."

Monica chuckled, "Sino bang multo ang ayaw mabuhay? Siguro nga natanggap ko na. Wala na akong mapupuntahan, eh. Gusto ko na lang matahimik at matapos ang pagiging nobody ko rito,"

She stared at the students passing by, "Pero bigla ko na lang naisip 'yung mga what ifs. Paano kung buhay pa ako ngayon? Nag-aaral pa rin kaya ako? Ano ba ang mga gusto ko? Magiging masaya kaya ako?"

"No one can change our fate, Monica," Kyle said, "But we can also make the most of it," he smiled.

Tumawa si Monica, "Ikaw ha. Nakaka-proud ka. Hindi ka na nega, salamat,"

"Punta tayo sa rooftop?" Kyle asked.

"Tyaka 'yung sa sinasabi mong 'I'm faking it'," she said, emphasizing the last phrase, "I'm not. Masaya talaga ako. Nalulungkot lang ako sa tuwing naiisip ko na may mga bagay akong gustong gawin pero hindi na pwede dahil sa sitwasyon ko,"

Kyle patted her head, "Oo na, tara na,"

"And I already accepted my fate. That's why I don't want to feel anything beyond towards him."

"And this is for X. Try to solve this within 10 minutes. Otherwise, all of the problems written here on this page will be your assignment for our next meeting," the Prof stated.

Most of the students immediately tried to solve the problem written on the board. Some didn't bother, and some are not actually listening.

Kinuha ni Ace ang ballpen niyang nasa gilid ng table niya. He also doesn't actually want to have an assignment. He's busy, you know.

After three minutes, tumayo si Ace. Everyone looked at him.

Walang kahit anong emosyon na mababasa sa mukha ni Ace. He gave the scratch paper to the Professor, kinuha naman iyon ng kanilang Guro.
