Jong Kook is feeling nervous and also excited.
It has been the two days since he last saw Ji Hyo in the performance night, and since then he has not yet communicated with her.
He still can't understand why he is feeling that way, though.
He has been trying to get that fact off his mind. But his stomach seems to be not cooperating. He is feeling a lump inside it since this morning.
He enters the school and is half expecting to see Ji Hyo around, preferably smiling at him.
But nothing of the sort happens. Instead, he sees a familiar black car pass by him and stops right in front of the school building's wide front porch.
There, he sees the back of Ji Hyo's head come put as she slides out of the car.
He hastens his strides, trying to catch up with her.
But as soon as he almost reaches the porch, he sees her face.
As usual, it is cold and expressionless as she says goodbye to her aunt and walks into the school building.
Her eyes fall on hus direction as she turns around though, and he's surprised when she does not even spare a word.
She proceeds to the stairs that leads to her floor, leaving him annoyed, more to himself than to Ji Hyo.
Why is he even expecting?
And why is he making a big deal out of Ji Hyo's attitude? It's not like it is the first time she ignored him.
She does that cold-expressionless fave all the time. So why feel disappointed now?
He sighs in embarassment to himself.
"She didn't see you, did she?", his second in command in the Tae Kwon Do club named Kim Sung Jae suddenly says as he appears next to him, making Jong Kook jerk in surprise.
"What?", he asks, frowning dowm at him.
Sung Jae nods his head to the direction where Ji Hyo disappeared. "That girl, Song Ji Hyo. Aren't you two, like, super close? "
"I guess? ", he answers hesitantly.
"Then why did she glanced at you and then leave as if she doesn't know you?"
"I don't know. ", he answers, already annoyed. "Why are you being so nosy?"
Sung Jae grins. "I just happened to see. "
Jong Kook turns him to the direction of their classroom and pushes him ahead. "Let's just go. "
Sung Jae looks at him over his shoulder though. "Is there something going on with you two? "
"Of course not! ", he immediately denies.
"So that was just a friendly hug then?"
He stops walking amd pushing Sung Jae. "What do you mean? "
