Song Ji Hyo sits in front of her study table, her notes and books over it as she tries to focus.
She glances at the clock at one corner of her table. It's a quarter to 8 am in a saturday morning, and she's stuck here studying while other girls her age are out there, hanging out and having fun.
She tries to focus harder, for at 8am, her aunt will arrive to check on her, just like their weekly routine.
The time passes as she lost track of it, her mind finally in tune to the notes she has, that when she glances bacl at the clock, she is surprised that it has already gone half past eight.
And there's still no Aunt around.
Hope suddenly occupies her chest as she stands up from her chair and goes out of her study room. Then she heads downstairs and peeks her head down to the kitchen, where her mother is always in, cooking.
"Mom? ", she calls, making the woman look up at her direction.
"Oh, dear! Your aunt hasn't texted you? She has something to take care of, she'll be back this monday."
Her eyes lightens up at the news, a smile speading across her face. "Really? "
"Yeah.", her mom says, brows furrowing. "Why do you look so delighted with that news? "
She happily runs down the stairs and into the kitchen and wraps her arms around her mother, who seems to stiffen up for a sec at the strange gesture of her daughter.
"Ahh, this young lady! ", she exclaims.
"Eomma~~", she says in a cute voice, looking at her over her mother's shoulder. "Can I go out today and not tell Aunt about it?"
"Where are you going? ", she asks, just out of curiousity.
"I'll just meet my friends, like normal girls my age do. "
Her mother's eyes light up at the idea. She has always wanted Ji Hyo to have friends.
"So you're meeting those boys again? "
She shrugs as she smiles widely at her mom. She still doesn't know who to meet, though. Maybe it just depends on who responds to her text that she is still about to make later.
"Sure. Go out and have fun."
She shrieks and delight, kisses her mother in the cheek and runs upstairs towards her room.
She immediately grabs her phone.
Who shall she text?
But then she gets reminded by a promise that she has not yet done.
Maybe she should do it today.
So she changes her clothes and then heads out.
The moment she arrives in the street leading to the house she is going, she suddenly feels hesitant.
What if Jong Kook will shoo him away? What if Eun Hye is there? Just thinking about it annoys her.
She can't believe she had been fooled by that deceiving girl! She surely missed to see the horns peeking out of that girl's brown hair.
And then there's Jong Kook. She thought he was on her side. But the moment she turns around, he has his self all wrapped around Eun Hye's fingers, again.
It seems like they had gone back together, too, for she sees them together often lately.
She tries to convince she doesn't care. She is just going to Jong Kook's house to grant the deal, to walk Mrs. Kim in the park with Jong Han.
