Wild 'Giraffe' Chase

Kim Jong Kook is running right behind Song Ji Hyo. He had seen her sprint before, but not as fast as this.

Her hair is flipping behind her because of her speed, her steps quick but light on the floor as if this is not exactly new to her. Her skirt doesn't even seem to bother her.

He still could not figure out how them getting busted by Kwang Soo lead to a wild goose chase, with Kwang Soo being the "goose" of course.

Kwang Soo, having such long legs and strides, is ahead of them, but it is still quite impressive for him that Song Ji Hyo isn't totally far behind him.

He would expect any other girl to be totally get left behind by him and Kwang Soo. But maybe not this girl. Ji Hyo just can't handle being behind someone, even on this senseless chase.

Kwang Soo saw her kissing Ji Hyo's forehead, and it might have been the look in their eyes or just the strange way of how Kwang Soo's brain works, but he ends up running away from them.

And now they're in the hallway, chasing him while hurtling a few students who are in the hallway.

Ji Hyo glances over her shoulder, "We have to catch him, Oppa! ", she yells.

That snaps him out of his reverie, and speeds up, too.

He runs past her as he says, "Catch up, okay?"

"Okay.", she answers and he runs closer to Kwang Soo, who seems to be feeling in panic.

"Yah! Can't you just stop?! ", he yells after him, the distance between them getting smaller as Kwang Soo has a hard time getting past through some students who are in the hallways.

"You swear first that you won't do anything to me! ", he yells back over his shoulder.

"Hey, do you think we're thugs?! Of course we're not doing anything to you! ", he answers, missing the chance to grab Kwang Soo because of another student who is on his way.

"I don't trust you! The both of you are the people who often hit me! ", he says and screams in frustration. "How can this happen? How can you end up with Ji Hyo Noona out of all people?! "

"YAH! YOU WANT TO DIE?! ", he threatens. How can this stupid guy scream that out all over the hallway?

He silently hopes no student heard that.

Kwang Soo speeds up because of his threat.

"This guys seriously! ", he mutters as he tries to keep up. "YAH! "

Kwang Soo abruptly turns to another hallway, the one leading to the stairs. He can't let that happen. One stairs down means one floor closer to the others, whom he will surely tell.

He glances over his shoulder to check for Ji Hyo, but she isn't behind him anymore.

Could she have gotten exhausted and stopped?

He silently hopes she's okay and just gets back to chasing Kwang Soo.

Just when he turns to another corridor, He almost falls face first by stopping because Kwang Soo abruptly collapses into the floor as if something in front of him is scarier than Jong Kook chasing him.

He follows his gaze and is surprised himself.

For Ji Hyo is also in the top of the stairs that leads to the lower floor, her hair ruffled and her chest rising up and down from catching her breathe, but she is standing confidently with a smirk in her face.

"Noona. ", Kwang Soo mutters.

That is when Ji Hyo's smirk turns into an irritated press of the lips as she marches towards Kwang Soo.

"You... Do you really have to make us chase you like that?! ", she scolds, reaching down to pinch Kwang Soo's ear.

"Aaa-aargh-argh! ", Kwang Soo grunts as he pulls himself up, following wherever Ji Hyo pulls his ear to.

Jong Kook just stands there, amused at the scene of tall Kwang Soo being beaten up by a small Ji Hyo. He's still trying to figure out how she manage to get there first, and he thinks she might have taken the other hallway, which is less crowded than the one they've taken.

"Let go or I'm gonna scream and tell everyone that you're ----", the rest of Kwang Soo's threats are muffled by Ji Hyo's palms on his mouth.

"Scream and I'm gonna pull all of your hair out! ", she threatens back as she holds a handful of Kwang Soo's thick hair.

He screams in her palms.

"Kwang Soo, you need to listen to us.", he says seriously.

Kwang Soo's brows furrow as he mumbles behind Ji Hyo's palm.

Then he reaches up to her hand to take it off. "How can I listen if you're scaring me like this? ", he asks, his face fully creased as he looks from him to Ji Hyo.

"We're not scaring you. ", Ji Hyo argues.

"Please tell me this isn't happening. ", Kwang Soo says, his eyes turning blank as if he is absorbed in his own thoughts. "How can this be? How can a tiger fall for the lioness? This is horrifying. ", he murmured.

Jong Kook is about to step forward to snap him out of his stupid reverie but Ji Hyo suddenly hit Kwang Soo behind his head, beating Jong Kook in doing it.

"Ow!", Kwang Soo complains at his Noona.

"We can hear you, stupid! ", she says.

Kwang Soo breathes in and out, as if composing himself. Then his gaze turns from scared to serious.

"If you'll keep on threatening me, I'm going to tell the others. "

Jong Kook's brows furrow. "Is that a threat? ", he asks, displeased.

He steps closer to him but Kwang Soo steps back, to the direction of the stairs.

"Oops, take one more step and I'll tell."

Jong Kook abruptly stops and turns to Ji Hyo. She's also looking at him as if she's waiting for him to have an idea what to do.

But he has none.

"Kwang Soo----!"

"There they are! ", Dong Hoon, who has just ascended the stairs with the others, says as he saw them.

Jong Kook has never felt so nervous seeing them before, and he wants to yank Kwang Soo by the neck as he turns to the others and runs down to them.

"HYUNG! ", Kwang Soo yells, as if he has never been this happy seeing them.

He then looks at Jong Kook and Ji Hyo as if saying 'One wrong move and I'll tell. '

Jong Kook heaves a sigh. He can't believe that guy has them in the palms of his long, bony hands.

He turns to Ji Hyo and their eyes met, hoping that she'll understand even though he won't say it verbally that they have to get him next time when the others aren't around.

I apologize for the very late update. 😭😭 I'm very busy with school that i barely have time to do anything. 😭 I'm losing update with every fandom i am in because of all the things i have in school. I'm sorry for that. I'll try really hard to find time updating.

I miss watching Running Man, I'm so not updated with them, too. 😭
