He hated his job with a passion but he only put up with it just to get a check.
Attendance was something he thought was pointless because half of the kids barely came it was like the same kids showed up everyday.
"Corey."
He could literally just go through the list and check off Who was present and who wasn't.
"Wilson." He said not looking up.
"Ericka." She softly said raising her hand.
"Girl, you better speak up! We barely know you here." One of the other girls in the class said causing other students to snicker and laugh.
"Alright Ms. London that's enough." The teacher said looking up. "Powers."
There was nothing.
"Powers."
There was still silence.
"Powers."
"Yo, on the serious tip Mr. P, Keith always late you might as well not even call his name." Kevin said.
"Yeah, well, it's still apart of my job to make sure everyone's name is called. As much as you bastards get on my nerves I will always obey the rules." He said sitting down at his desk.
"Alright take out your books and turn to page 141. You have 15 minutes to study before your test.
The student's groans and complaints filled the room as they followed their teacher's instructions.
About 9 minutes into their study time, the door flew open and in walked Keith with an orange piece of paper that seemed to have come from the office And his face was smug.
"Well welcome." Mr. P said sarcastically.
"Sup Mr. P. Here's my pass." Keith said giving him the pass and heading to his seat. Stopping to greet his friends along the way.
He took his normal seat, behind and Ericka and her heart immediately started to pound.
She had the biggest crush on Keith. Bigger than any other girl in this school.
