49: Just Love and Joy

Gracen's view

I woke up the next morning with Emery beside me. I rolled over to gently caress her cheek and I started pecking her with kisses until she woke up.

"Well, I'd love to wake up to this everyday," she said.

"That can be arranged," I replied as i straddled her.

I kissed her passionately then leaned back to look at her beautiful blue eyes. I noticed she was gazing up at me with a cute twinkle in her eye and asked her why she was looking at me like that.

She turned bright red and tried to change the subject, but I wouldn't let her.

"It's so cheesy though," she replied.

"Tell me. Your cheesiness is part of what I adore about you,"

"I can't help but smile when I'm with you because you make me so happy. I love you Gracen," she said.

My heart fluttered with joy and I couldn't help but blush at what she said. Then I leaned in to kiss her again and things got heated pretty quickly. So we ended up doing it again, and it was amazing.

In the afternoon we talked to Jordie and Clare over the walkie talkie and they told us that by morning the next day the storm should be over and they would come to the cabin.

Even though I enjoyed my alone time with Emery, I was glad to be able to see my friend. I couldn't wait to tell them the news and about how happy I am.

Bright and early the next morning we heard a knock on the door and in came Jordie and Clare. Emery and I gave them big hugs and I took Emery's hand as they told us how their last two days went.

"Wait! Are you guys like okay now? Or Like together because you guys are like holding hands," yelled Clare.

"Oh my god, please no jokes guys. My heart wouldn't be able to take this if it was a joke," added Jordie.

"It's not a joke. Gracen and I love eachother," replied Emery.

Hearing her say that was adorable and I pulled her in for a tight hug and gave her a peck on the lips.

"Yesss!! My favorite ship is sailing again. Thank god," yelled Clare.

Jordie agreed then hugged Emery and i. The rest of the afternoon we talked about our plans for the rest of the trip since we still had four days left.

We had plenty of snowball fights and went skiing and snowboarding a lot. It was hilarious watching Emery and Jordie attempt going down hills because they were so clumsy and they fell a lot.

The last night of the trip I finished packing and went in the bathroom to take a shower. Soon after i turned the water on, I felt someone come into the shower with me.

"It's Emery. Close your eyes Gracen," she whispered in my ear.

I felt her kiss my neck and gently bite me then she kissed near the nap of my back while her hands roamed my body. The feeling felt so relaxing hot. Soon I couldn't take it and I turned around to kiss her passionately while pressing her against the wall in the shower. We took our time pleasing each other and even helped eachother dry off then we layed in bed holding one another.

I was gently caressing her back when she asked, "Gracen, will you be my girlfriend again?"

I giggled and kissed her then gazed at her lovingly and said, "Of course I will be again."

"I'm glad. I love you so much and after a couple of months apart I realized I don't want to spend any day without you."

I smiled and it meant so much to hear her say that.

"Emery, I love you too. And you mean the world to me."

That night we fell asleep in pure bliss.

Emery's view

The drive back home was peaceful, but I couldn't wait to get back home to my family. I know Ethan is going to want to hear most of what went down, but of course I'm going to censore a bunch. When we arrived in my driveway, my brothers came out to help with my bags and welcome Gracen and I. Jordie and Clare had to go home to get rest then go to work.

My mom made dinner so I invited Gracen to come in. We walked in hand in hand and I'm pretty sure my whole family was shocked.

At the table, Gracen mostly filled them in how we talked it through. I didn't say much because I was too busy gazing over at Gracen. She was so beautiful and i couldn't believe how she came into my life and helped save me.

Then my mom brought up news about my little sister Luna.

"Unfortunately, somehow Luna's mother didn't want to sign the papers to let us adopt her and I tried everything but there was no way around it. But I had a plan and that woman fell for it," my mom said.

I looked at her puzzled and asked what she meant.

"My dear friends Mr. And Mrs. Adams helped out," she added.

"Oh my god, Michael and Sonya helped?" Asked Ethan.

"Wait who helped?" Asked Gracen, clearly lost.

"They are old friends of my mom. They come over so much and they used to babysit my brothers and I. They've been traveling a lot recently though," I explained.

"They are coming back and we'll they've never had a child of their own because neither of them could have children. However, when I told them about the situation with Luna they agreed to adopt her and since Luna's mom didn't know they were my friends she signed the adoption paper. So even though Luna will not be living with us we can spend as much time with her and be a part of her life forever," my mom explained.

I nearly teared up because I knew Luna was going to grow up loved by her new parents but also by us too. I promise myself to always be there for my baby sister. The news was overwhelming happy and I couldn't take the grim off of my face.

After we all helped wash and put away the plates, Gracen and I went to my room.

"Wow, it seems like everything is turning out good," Gracen commented.

"Everything is amazing now. Thank you for always being there and helping me along my bumpy and nerve wrecking ride. Without you, life would have been so much harder," I told her as I wrapped my arms around her.

"Hey, you're such a strong and amazing person. You pulled through everything yourself and I'm so proud of you. You've helped me more actually then I helped you," she added.

"I love you Gracen," I told her before kissing her again.
