XANDER
My body rose to the surface of the water. I felt weightless. I took a deep, unnecessary breath. I didn't have to breath under water. I never knew why.
My body glides through the salty water. gracefully and with ease.
I felt free. At peace, really.
This was my place. The place where I escaped all my princely duties, and was actually free.
I take slow strokes, watching each fish swim away. Their bodies flapping side to side.
They were lucky, the fish.
All they had to worry about was finding food and staying alive. No responsibilities. They didn't have to run a whole kingdom by themselves. They didn't have to make risky decisions.
Xander!
My body snapped to the direction of the airy voice.
Xander! Where are you? Ah! Help me, their hurting me!
I gasped. A small, petite girl was floating toward my direction. She was beautiful. Her curly hair flowed around her oval face.
Xander! HELP ME!
How did this...thing... know my name?
With a flash, the beautiful maiden disappeared.
Little did I know that I would see this beautiful girl again.
