Falling For You

Chapter 17.

Vanessa P.O.V

It's been two weeks since I got out of the hospital.  Today was my first day back to school.  The doctor said I should stay home if I got dizzy at school, but right now I feel great.

When I came home though, my mom wasn't there.  So since she isn't, Shawn insisted that I'd stay at his house.  At first I felt a little uncomfortable with the idea of sleeping with my teacher or boyfriend...whatever you want to call it.

We never made anything official yet, it's just a complicated thing for now even if it's been a couple months. 

"Ness! Are you almost ready to go? We have to leave right now," I heard Shawn say as he knocked on the bathroom door.

I walked out right after he knocked and he looked at me up and down.

"Beautiful," he whispered and I could feel my blood creep it's way into my cheeks.

"Love you too," I said with a smirk and reached up to kiss his cheek.

I went back into his room and grabbed a hair tie to put my hair up in a ponytail.  I thought it would look better with my True School Roxy sweater and my light washed blue shorts.  After, I pulled some hairs up of the ponytail to frame my face.

I turned around to see Shawn leaning against the door. 

"What? You want to take a picture?" I said and he laughed.

I grabbed my bag off of his bed and walked over to him.

"You are so cute," I said and placed my hands on his chest.

"As are you my dear," he said while connecting his lips to mine.

"Mm I wish we could do that all day," I mumbled while slowly pulling away.

"Same here, but I have a job and you have school," he said and started backing away towards the stairs.

"Yes I know Mr. Mendes," I said and ran downstairs before him.

"I'm guessing you're excited to go back to school?" He said while wrapping his arms around my waist before I had the chance to open the door.

"I guess you could say that," I said and turned around to peck him on the lips.

"Okay then, let's go," he said and we both walked out of the door.

I walked through the glass doors of our school with Shawn.  There was still an hour until school started, so no one saw us together.  We continued walking to his classroom and I took a seat once we got inside.

"So what have I missed?" I asked as he wrote the lesson plan on the board.

"Not a lot but you'll have to learn some new music for our concert next week," he said and my jaw dropped.

"Next week!" I practically yelled and he turned around with a smile.

"Yes, and did I also mention, you have a solo," he said and I furrowed my brows together.

"Babe, you're kidding right?" I said and he shook his head.

"Ugh...you're such an ass," I mumbled and he walked towards me.

"I'm sorry Ms. Garcia, but I don't think I heard you clearly.  May you reappear what you had just said," he told me while placing both of his hands on my desk.

I stood up and looked him straight in the eye while saying, "You're an ass."

"Hm well I'd like to have you're ass in my hands instead," he said with a wink and turned back around as we heard the bell ring.

"Just let me know a time and place," I mumbled low enough for only him to hear as students walked into the class.

I watched until Jordan walked into the classroom.  I hadn't spoken to her since I was released from the hospital.  I tried talking to her, but she was acting weird.

"Hey Jordan," I said as she passed by me.

"Yeah whatever," she said and walked away from her usual seat which was next to me.

I looked behind me and I saw her with Mikayla who used to bully me back in the beginning of high school.  I saw them whispering and looking at me.

What was happening?
