Vanessa P.O.V

3 weeks later...

Today is the day.  The day I graduate and the day my relationship with Shawn doesn't have to be a secret anymore.  I slipped on my engagement ring and finished putting on my makeup.

"How's my graduating girl?" I heard Shawn ask as he peaked his head into our room.

"She okay," I said with a smile and put on my earrings.

"And our baby?" He said with a wide smile across his face.

"The baby is fine daddy," I said with a smirk and he walked up to me while placing his hands on my stomach.

"Good, now you should get dressed we're leaving in ten," he said and I nodded.

He backed up slowly, but I quickly grabbed his hand to pull him in for a kiss. We pulled away after a few minutes and I smile at the feeling of his lips on mine.

"I love you," I whispered and he smile.

"I love you too," he whispered back and kissed my lips again.

We pulled away again, and he left the room. I went into the closet and grabbed my graduation dress. It was a short mint dress, with a white and caramel belt on the waist, and thin straps.

Our gowns were white, so it matched perfectly. I quickly got dressed and slipped on my white heels. I took my hair out of the ponytail it was in, and readjusted the curls. I laid my hair over my shoulders, and I was almost done.

I went back into the restroom and grabbed my last touch of makeup I needed. My all time favorite Maybelline lipstick in the shade, 'Born With It.' I quickly put it on and made my way downstairs.

"Amazing as always," Shawn said and held out his tie.

"And you don't look too bad yourself," I said and he smiled.

I grabbed his tie from his hand and wrapped it around his neck.

"Are you ready for this beautiful?" He asked and I looked up at him while smoothening his dress shirt.

"Ready for what? A future with you? I'm definitely ready," I said and he smiled.

"Wow I'm so lucky to have you," he said and I blushed while kissing him on the cheek.

"Same here," I mumbled and he gently pecked me on the lips.

"I love you," he mumbled.

"I love you too," he said and I smiled.

"Now let's go see you graduate," he said and I smiled.

~~~
"Bryce Williams," Shawn said as he called out our names on the stage.
"Will Sanders."
I was only a few people away from graduating.
"Mikayla Gonzalez."
Almost there.
"Cyndy Lockwood."
Four more to go.
"Jordan Mikaelson."
"Olivia Jess."
Any second now.
"Riley Macias."
My whole body started shaking, and I tried to not let my nervousness get the best of me.
"Katrina Alexandra."
Here we go.
"And finally," Shawn paused and looked up at me with a smile, "Vanessa Garcia."
I smiled and felt my cheeks turn red as I walked up the steps. I walked towards Shawn as he handed me my diploma, and shook my hand.
"I'm so proud of you baby," he whispered so that only I could hear and I smiled.
I walked up to Mr. Hartley and took a picture with him. I continued to walk back down the steps to my seat, and I actually did it. I graduated, and now I can live my life as I please.
As I made my way to my seat, I saw Jordan smiling at me and I smiled back. Although we may not be friends anymore, it's still nice that we could still be kind to one and other.
I found out that she was the one who told Mr. Hartley about me and Shawn and we stopped being friends. I took my seat and Mr. Hartley walked up to the microphone.
"And now, it is my pleasure to announce the class of 2021," he said.
And just like in all the movies, everyone stood up from our seats and looked towards the stands, but I kept my eyes locked on Shawn's.
"Let's give them all one last goodbye."
I smiled and in seconds everyone's caps were thrown in the air. And now the future begins.
