Chapter 27.

Vanessa P.O.V

I woke up in the hospital, and I tried remembering what happened, but when I did, I wished I didn't. I looked around and saw someone sleeping in the chair in front of the bed.

"Shawn?" I mumbled and in a response I saw him wake up.

"You're okay," I sighed in relief and he smiled.

"Me? At least you're okay," he said with a smile.

"How long have I been here," I asked and he got up from the seat and walked towards me.

"About three days, I got up the day after the accident," he said and I nodded.

I took his hand in mine and smiled.

"Is it all over?" I asked and he nodded with a smile.

"Yeah it's all over baby," he said and gently kissed the top of my head.

"You're awake," I heard someone say and looked to see the doctor.

I sat up and he walked over to me.

"Well you look great, I would say you should be ready to go in the morning," he said and I nodded.

"I'll go let the nurse know so she can get your stuff ready," he said and walked out of the room.

"We're going to go home?" I asked Shawn and he nodded.

"Yeah, were going home," he said and I pulled him back to kiss his lips.

"I love you Shawn," I mumbled and felt him smile against my lips.

"I love you too baby," he said and gave me a gentle hug.

I pulled away when I realized the actual question I should be asking.

"Wait, what happened to James?" I asked and he shook his head.

"That bastard is getting what he deserves which is a lifetime in jail, and they're trying to find your mother," he said and I nodded.

"You know, he tried touching me again," I mumbled and he nodded.

"But this time he did," he said and I nodded.

"I know, and the whole entire time I thought about you," I said and he tilted his head.

"What do you mean?" He said and I smiled.

"The whole time I just wanted it to be you, I mean you're the only one who could do that to me," I said and a smirk stretched across his face.

"Wow...nice job brightening up the mood," he said and we both laughed.

"What? I'm not lying," I said no he threw his head back and laughed.

Then, we heard a knock on the door, and the doctor walked back in.

"Sorry to interrupt, but we found something when we tested for something in your bloodstream," he said which both caught our attention.

"Like what?" Shawn said and sat next to me while holding my hand tightly.

"Well all I can truthfully say is congratulations," he said and Shawn and I both looked at each other.

"What do you mean?" I said and the doctor walked closer to us.

"You're pregnant."
