Vanessa P.O.V

Class had just ended, and the whole period I didn't nothing but think about what Jordan's problem was.

"Alright class, I'll see you tomorrow," Shawn said as everyone started walking out of the class.

When I got up, Jordan passed by me and I grabbed her hand.

"Ow! What the hell!" She screamed and I pulled her out into the girls bathroom.

"What is your problem!" I practically yelled and she crossed her arms while glaring at me.

"Like you don't already know you slut!" She hissed at me while getting into my face.

"What are you talking about!" I yelled while getting frustrated at not knowing what she was taking about.

"You and Mr. Mendes! You've been lying to me all this time!" She yelled but mumbled the Mr. Mendes' name.

"I don't know what you're talking about," I mumbled while backing away from her.

"Oh don't pull the bullshit on me! You lied to me! We're best friends and we never keep secret from each other but you did!" She yelled and my heart started pounding.

"Jordan, I have an explanation, but-" she cut me off by putting her face up to my face.

"Save it! I don't want to hear it," she said and stormed out of the bathroom.

All I could do was stand there after she left. The bell had rung and I still couldn't move. My eyes were filling with tears, and soon enough I was running down the halls crying my eyes out.

I ran into Shawn's classroom knowing that he had free period at this time. I rushed into the room to see him writing on the board. He turned to me with a concerned look on his face.

"Baby what's wrong?" He asked, and I could t say anything.

I ran straight into his arms and balled my eyes out into his chest.

"Hey, tell me," he mumbled while wrapping his arms around me and kissing the top of my head.

"I want to go home," I mumbled and held onto him tighter.

"Okay, but can you please tell me what happened?" He said and I nodded into his chest.

"Just please take me home," I said with a slight sniffle.

I had my head turned towards the window and I had just told Shawn what had happened with Jordan. He kept telling me everything was going to be okay, but somehow, I couldn't believe it.

"Okay we're here," he said and I picked my head up to see myself at my house.

"What are we doing here?" I asked while turning towards him.

"Just thought you could grab more of your stuff, then we can go home," he said while resting his hand on my thigh.

"Okay," I mumbled and got out of the car.

"I'll be at the house, so take your time," he said and I nodded.

I jumped out of the car and walked up the front steps of my house. I unlocked the door and walked into the house. I know it's only been a few weeks since I've last been here, but it feels so different being back.

I ran up the stairs to my room to grab a bag to stuff some clothes inside of it. It took me a few minutes to pack and when I finished, I heard the garage door open.

My mom. I grabbed my bag off the bed and I silently walked out of my room.

"Wow you are magnificent," I heard a man say from below the stairs.

I walked down trying to be as quiet as possible.

"Oh stop you're the best," I heard my moms voice and I walked to the bottom of the steps to see them.

I saw my mom and a man in the kitchen flirting. My mom had a wine glass in her hand and from here, I could smell the alcohol filling the room.

When I would try to get a closer look at the man, I could see cigarette in his hand, but it wasn't just any cigarette. The smell coming from his hand was a drug.

A little fact about my mom, she's never had alcohol for five years. When she started drinking, it would get overly uncontrollable. And the weed in that mans hand was definitely not helping.

I tried sneaking out of the house, but when I walked to the front door my keys fell out of my hand.

"What was that?" I heard the man say.

"I don't know let me go check," my mom said and I could hear her footsteps rush to the front door.

When I opened the door I heard her voice behind me say, "Vanessa?"
