rachel is on the subway with sebastian he arrived home at lunch to collect her to take her tl his law firm to talk to a lawyer who works there who is the best divorce lawyer in town a mr h wells.
" relax its not like he is gonna be there" sebastian said
" i suppose this just makes things more real " rachel said
" i understand that and like i have said before your going to be fine" sebastian said
" you really think so" rachel asked
" yeah you got me on your team you cant lose anyway you have more things to worry about its tonight santana arrives" sebastian said
" i had forgot about that" rachel said feeling sick
" here we are " sebastian said as the train pulled up at their stop rachel followed sebastian through the crowded new york streets to his work.
" after you" sebastian said opening the door for her he then led her to the elevator and once on the right floor rachel spotted thad and he walked over to them.
"hey guys so you came good for you its the first step" thad saic with a smile
" well even if i had to drag her kicking and screaming she would be here" sebastian said
" well its great that you didnt have to though it certainly would have been amussing anyway he is ready to see you now so brace yourself " thad said
" brace myself " rachel asked looking back and forth between thad and sebastian
" harrison wells can be a little hard to digest sometimes but he is brilliant at what he does he will get you what you want and jessie wont stand a chance" sebastian said
" okay" rachel said
" right then come on" sebastian said leading her to an office
" hello sebastian and hell you must be ms st james" mr wells said
" hello" rachel said nervously
" please have a seat" mr wells said rachel sat down and sebastian sat down next to her
" so your wanting to divorce your husband so we will start with a few basic questions okay first question hlw long have you been married" mr wells asked
" three years" rachel said
" okay do you wish to live in the apartment" he asked
" oh um...i hadnt..." rachel started to say
" no she doesnt" sebastian said
" okay now i will need bank statments to see what your combined estate is worth" mr Wells said
" okay" rachel said
" is there anything you really do want" he asked
" well i know it might sound crazy but for our second wedding anniversary he bought me a coffee machine which is unbelievable i would like that and it was gifted to me" rachel said
" if it wss a gift then it is infact yours ms st james" mr wells said
" call her miss berry" sebastian said
" your returning tp your maiden name" mr wells asked
" yes" rachel said
" fine now i have to aske this what is the reason for your petition for divorce" he asked rachel looked at sebastian
" he isnt a pleasent person" sebastian said
" i see is he violent " mr wells asked rachel felt her eyes prickling with tears
" everything you say from this point on doesnt leave this room but to gully u derstand the situation i need to know what the situation is" mr wells said
" he um..." rachel started to say
" he is a horrible son of a bitch" sebastian said
" i see well dont worry miss berry we will get you free of him soon" mr wells said
"thank you " rachel said
" right then i will begin filing paperwork and if you could drop the bank statements in sometime next week that would be great" mr wells said
" thank you" rachel said
" thank you harrison. " sebastian said as he ane rachel got up and left the office.
" right then lets get you home" sebastian said
" arent you working" rachel asked
" thad is covering come on leta get a cab it will be quicker" sebastian said
" thank you " rachel said to sebastian as they waited for a cab to pull up
" i told you there is no need to thank me" sebastian said opening the cab door for her they made small talk all the way back to his apartment.
" right then im going to get back to work i will be home about six w2 can get a takeaway if you want" sebastian said
" or i will cook" rachel said
" yeah take away it is" sebastian said
" hey" rachel giggled
" your pie was delicious but its been quite a day for you i cant image what your going through how about you scan netflixs for a move tonight and i bring chinese take out home with me" sebastian said
"sounds good" rachel said
" great well i will see you later" sebastian said before he left.
