rachel couldnt believe who she was looking at right now and given it was a date with sebastian it was the last person she wanted to run into. it was clear by the look on the womans face she wasnt impressed.
" rach you ok" sebastian asked
" no" rachel answered honestly
" what is it whats wrong " sebastian asked concerned rachel turned to look at him
" you see that woman sat five seats in at the other end of our row she is wearing a plum coloured dress" rachel said
" yeah" sebastian said having glanced over at the woman who glared back at him
" thats iris jesse's mom" rachel said
" oh" sebastian said he shifted in his seat
" given the look she is giving me i dont think jesse has told her that we are getting divorced" rachel said
" well dont let her spoil our evening if jessehasnt been man enough to tell his mother then i will" sebastian said as the house lights dipped and the stage was lit up.
rachel did her best to focus on the opera which was incredible she hoped she and sebastian cpuld get out once it finished before iris gotmhold of her the thruth was iris had never liked rachel she had always thought jesse had settled with rachel and that he could do so much better.
as rachel sat there the lights come back on it was an intermission sebastian must have noticed her unease
" come with me" sebastian said taking her hand and leading out of the theatre too the in house bar and he ordered them both a glass of champagne.
" you okay" sebastian asked
" im sorry im on edge i just never had a great relationship with her the last thing i want is her butting in" rachel said
" listen to me he hurt you i don't care if she is his mother your the victim here dont let her upset you she should be shamed of him not you" sebastian said
" your right i suppose its because i was so looking forward to tonight and i dont want anything to ruin it" rachel said
" it wont put me off if thats what your worried about nothing can do that" sebastian said
" well it didnt take you long did it" iris said appearing infront of them
" hello iris" rachel said iris was giving sebastian a disgusting look
" what the hell is this" iris said
" its our third date" sebastian said

" no she isnt she will be after this but has of right nowshe is married to my son " iris said
" no she has begun divorcing your son" sebastian said
" i think my son would have told me if his marriage was over" iris said
" i have filed for divorce" rachel said
