look alittle deeper (smytheberry )

an very busy afternoon

sebastian was waiting by the door for rachel it was time to go to the ice hockey game she was in her room getting ready.

" im ready" rachel said coming rushing out of her room wearing a peach sweat suit top and jeans sebastian had to admit she looked lovely.

" lets go" sebastian said smiling at her

" are we taking the subway" rachel asked

" no need its only three blocks away. " sebastian said

" oh good and remember im buying the snacks" rachel said

" i havent forgotten thats why i plan on having an extra large popcorn" sebastian said

" you deserve it" rachel said as they reached the side walk after leaving their building

" i do" sebastian said smugly before they both laughed

" so looking forward to the game" sebastian asked

" nope" rachel said

" wait seriously " sebastian asked having stopped her by touching her arm

" yeah im not into sports" rachel asked

" then why did you agree to come" he asked

" because you have been kind to me and you wasnt going to go on your own" rachel said

" well thank you" sebastian said  as they walked

once they reached the place they entered and after sebastian showed their tickets they made their way to the snack stand. rachel got them both a drink and a large popcorn to share and they made heir way to theor seats.

" ladies first" sebastian said letting her sit down first.

" now you might have to explain the game to me" rachel said

" shall i lwt you in on a little secret" sebastian said

" ok" rachel said sebastian leaned close to her

" i dont have a clue either" sebastian whispered in her ear

" wait what" rachel asked looking shocked at him

" hunter was supposed to explain the rules to me" sebastian said

" do you even like ice hockey " rachel asked

" dont no never seen it before" sebastian said

" so let me get this straight we are both at a game of which we know nothing about" rachel giggled

" yep" sebastian said

" why was hunter going to teach you the game" rachel asked

" the guys give me grief because apart from lacrosse and fencing and tennis i know nothing of sport" sebastian said

" whats wrong with that" rachel asked

" i know thats what i told them" sebastian said

" what do you prefer to sports" rachel asked

" wine tasting, the opera, broadway , the art galleries,  jazz band that type of thing" sebastian said

" i love opera and jazz i have never been that much of a drinker and naturally i dont need to tell ypu about my love of broadway " rachel said

" you know what how about we stay and eat the popcorn see if we like the game then if not we go and do something else" sebastian said

" your on" rachel said sebastian was thrilled that she liked the opera he sat watching her thinking how much they had in common.

an hour later and they were both sat bored and having finished the popcorn

" shall we leave" sebastian asked

" i thought you would never ask" rachel said and they both got up quickly as to not block other peoples view for long and left the arena.

" right then what shall we do now" sebastian asked once they were on the  street

" its up to you" rachel said

" no we are doing what i want tomorrow night its up to you" sebastian said

" its only 3.20pm we could grab a coffee" rachel said

" yeah i never say no to coffee" sebastian said as they set off walking down the street.

" this looks like a nice cafe" rachel said"

" ok" sebastian said opening the door for her

" i will get these" rachel said

" no its my turn" sebastian said

" but" rachel said

" i wont tolerate this objecting to my paying tomorrow night" sebastian said

once they had their coffees they sat chatting about different things before heading back to their apartment.

" im so glad i didnt have to sit throught that game " sebastian said

" me too" rachel said

" so now we are at a very tricky moment for us" sebastian said chuckled

" how do you mean" rachel asked looking at him with her bambi like eyes which he found himself staring into before coming to his senses.

" its dinner time the question so who is going to cook" sebastian said

" i will " rachel said

" how about we cook together" sebastian said

" ok im guessing your making desert" rachel said

" ofcourse you did say my mousse was the best thing you had ever had so it wouldnt be very gentlemanly of me if i was deny you some more delicious deserts would it" sebastian said

" i said it was nice and if you must know i make an amazing lemon lime cheesecake" rachel said

" you said it was the best you ever had and i would happily sample your desert" sebastian said

" ok who is making the starter " rachel asked

" i will" sebastian said

" main course" rachel asked

" we shall make it togther you can make your cheesecake for desert" sebastian said

" okay what are we going to make" rachel asked

" spinach and goats cheese raviolli" sebastian said

" i dont know how to make that" rachel said

" fear not rachel your working wih the master " sebastian said

" you really are the most humble person i have ever met" rachel said

" i try" sebastian said handing her apron to her.

that night

as sebastian laid in bed he thought over the days events while tomorrow was their offical second date today had felt date like. they had spent almost all day together and while sebastian usually liked his own space at times he had not felt like that today. thruth was he hadnt minded rachel been there at all since she had moved in. they had flirted though witty banter they had alot in common as he laid there thinknng over his plans for their second date he could stop the grin on his face.
