"What's up buttercup," William greeted me.

"Buttercup?" I asked. Out of all the nicknames he picked that one.

"Yeah, I wanted to make my sentence rhyme," William explained to me.

"Oh aren't you poetic," I said, while letting out a chuckle and winking at him. He nudged my arm and replied, "Shut up."

"You just hate me, because you can't be, what I am, because I'm so glam, to give a damn!" I rhymed, watching his jaw drop and William then applauded me. I bowed and beamed at him.

"Shall we get to class?" I asked.

"We shall m'lady," he replied, bowing for me. We then chuckled at our silliness. William and I are on our way to Physics when the fire bell suddenly rings. We exchange worries looks and make a run to the doors. After clearing everyone out of the building, the teacher's start doing the registers, making sure all students were here.

Thankfully, everyone was safe. Turns out some bright spark decided they wanted school to end early so they set off the bell. It did work though, most students had called their parents to fetch them or drove home so Worthington High was closed for today.

I give props to the genius who thought of this. They need an award for best school prankster.

William and I made our way to our cars. He has a black, BMW M4 Coupé. Damn, I love his car. "Stop drooling and get in Kensi," William said while chuckling.

I immediately felt embarrassed and got in. I was admiring the rain when I heard a familiar song playing on the radio.

I won't lie to you, I know he's just not right for you.

"Oh my gosh! This is Shawn Mendes!" I exclaimed, starting to fangirl.

"I'm assuming you're a fan?" William asked, amusement evident in his voice. I nodded my head vigorously, humming the words.

"I know I can treat you better, than he can!" William spontaneously belted out. I looked at him and he shrugged, "I know you want to, didn't wanna make you feel awkward," he confessed.

Before you knew it we were belting out the lyrics to Treat You Better.

"Tell me why I would be wasting time, on all your wasted crying. When you should be with me instead!" We belted out together.

And that's how the rest of our car ride went. William parked outside my house and we grabbed our backpacks, sprinting to the doorway. I quickly unlocked the door and William and I ran in, embracing the warmth.

I offered him food and he denied. "Let's get started," I said. William and I walked to my room, dumping our backpacks on the floor and taking our hoodies off. "Thanks for lending me your hoodie," I told him.

"No problem," he replied.

I took out my art journal from my bag, flipping to the page we drew our rough sketch on. William then stated, "We have the colour pencils, paint brushes, card board and other decorations." I nodded and added, "We just need the paint."
