"How amazing is it to find someone that wants to hear about all the things that go on inside your head."

"Your brother was worried about you."
"So you followed me here?" I asked, my eyebrow raised.
"To make sure you were safe," he assured me.
"I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself," I replied, crossing my arms over my chest and looking at him matter-of-factly.
"Oh trust me, I know," he chuckled.
"What are you really doing here Chase?" I asked, my tone sassy.
"After you kicked the ball to the other end of the field and left, everyone - especially Ethan - was worried about you. When we told him to go after you, he informed us that you'd just run away. So I volunteered to go - that's what friends do," Chase explained to me.
I stared into the mesmerizing jade eyes of Chase and sighed, "Okay."
I took out my earphones and turned back to the ledge. My arms leaning on the ledge as I observed at the city. I could still feel his presence. Chase stood next to me, mirroring my position - I observed from my peripheral vision.
"It's fine if you don't want to talk about it. But if you want to be alone, just say the word and I'll leave," he informed me.
"No, it would be nice to have some company," I answered, flashing a small smile.
I was lost in my thoughts when I remembered something, I haven't eaten since nine o'clock this morning. I should go get some lunch.
"Uh, I'm going to go get some lunch Chase," I muttered, my eyes trained on the ground as I started to walk towards the door. Suddenly, his hand was encircled around my wrist.
"I'll come with," he stated.
"Um, okay?" I mumbled, and walked down the stairs and to the elevator. I pressed the ground floor button in the elevator and leaned against the icy metal.
I pulled out my phone and there were plenty of notifications.
Ethan: Kensi, I don't know what's going on but I'm worried about you.
Ethan: Where are you?
Ethan: Kensi, please just let me know that you're safe.
Ethan: I don't want to go down this path again. It was a very dark road.
Ethan: Even if you don't come home and we meet elsewhere - that's fine. I just want to know what's going on.Mother: I did not mean to offend you Kensi.
Mother: Just come home, we can discuss this.
Mother: You're overreacting.Father: Kensi I heard your mom phoned you earlier and you have not returned home and left practice early. Just come home and we can discuss this.
Father: It's not a big deal, you're blowing things out of proportion.
