"And....sign here." The man in the fedora pointed to a line at the bottom of the page.
"Okay, thank you, sir." You scribble your name on the line.
"Please, call me Mr. Kizakura."
"Oh, right...Mr. Kizakura."
He laughed a little, enjoying himself. "Okay...that should be all the paperwork necessary. The ceremony will begin in a little bit, and after that you're free to roam the campus." He handed you a general map of the old building.
"Thank you." You bowed, then left the table.
Currently, you were in the gymnasium. It was crowded with students, teachers, and a few parents. The stage was set up with a unoccupied podium. What now?, you thought.
"Excuse me, are you a new student?" You turn to see a blue haired girl, instantly recognizing her.
Sayaka Maizono, of course. One of the biggest pop idols. You couldn't say you were an enormous fan of her music, but you did listen to her songs from time to time. She was accompanied by a brown haired boy about her height. You didn't know him, though.
"Yes, I am." You were a little surprised with how formal you were.
"Great! We are too. I'm Sayaka Maizono, and this is Makoto Naegi."
You responded with your name.
She began on a conversation about how excited she was to start school and meet people and....
Your interest was dying. You just continued nodding and smiling. Your eyes wandered away from her and went to the stage. A man was positioning himself at the podium. He cleared his throat.
"Good morning," the principal spoke, cueing the audience to quiet down. Gradually, the people did. Someone in the crowd shouted 'good morning' back, but you couldn't see who it was. "My name is Jin Kirigiri. I am the principal of Hope's Peak Academy. I'd like to welcome our incoming students of Class 78." He began a speech about how wonderful it is to be chosen and how we're going to help the world and other inspiring stuff like that. It was over faster than you had expected.
He left the stage, and the murmur of conversations started up again. People began trickling out the doors, yourself included. You squeezed your way through the crowd and entered a hallway. Following the map you held, you made your way to the dormitories. You scanned the doors, searching for your name. Upon finding yours, you quickly entered, wondering why it was unlocked.
It was one room, with a door leading to a small bathroom. Furniture consisted of a bed, a dresser, a closet, a desk, and a small table. On the table was a duffel bag, branded with the Hope's Peak logo.
Really? If I had known they provided bags, I wouldn't have bought my own!
You grumbled to yourself, checking the table and the duffel for anything else. Inside the bag, you found a small device. My e-handbook.
You explored the entire room for anything else. Inside the closet were three sets of school uniforms. The bathroom had general toiletries. The desk held a notepad, and a lint roller was found in a drawer.
Satisfied with your exploration, you used the rest of the day to unpack and explore the academy. You didn't run into any more of your classmates, but it was okay. You were willing to wait until class tomorrow to meet everyone.
A bell rung throughout the school, announcing it was time to get up. You stumbled out of bed, already disrobing as you made your way to the closet.
