New Winds (Book One-Saiya)

Chapter Two

The next morning i just sat on the bed, and pulled my knees up to my chest. the nurse had food brought to me. I ate it slowly savoring the flavor. It was the best rice balls I had ever had, the veggies were good too. and the fish was cooked perfectly. after i ate i put the tray out side my door. I sat back on the bed and closed my eyes. I thought back to that day. The only explenation i had was that i must be dreaming, or in a coma, but when i pinched my arm it hurt. I felt the back of my head where i had cracked my head. there were stiches. Then i remembered something. When I had fallen, I had felt my soul leave my body.... i paled, I was dead... sorta...

Narator P.O.V

Saiya felt herself getting more and more restless in the hospital. Eventualy she gave up and began to walk around. She made her way out of the building by sneaking past the staff. She began to walk around town until she found a clearing filled with moon flowers. Little did she know she was being followed. she stood in the middle of the clearing, and stared at the sky. She felt like a little girl again, when her father and mother were together, and he wasn't hurting her. hot tears streamed down her eyes, and she felt the need to turn, so she did, and kept going, getting faster and faster until she fell. She closed her eyes and laided in the grass.

a bird landed next to Saiya, seeing no danger it chirped waking her. The bird cocked its head and stared at her. Saiya shot straight up and the bird flew away. She looked around only to realized she was in the feild. She looked around and noticed something in a tree near by. She went over to see Kakashi sleeping on one of the branches. Slowly and quietly she climbed up the tree till she reached his spot. Kakashi had a book covering his face. Saiya got as close as she could and blew into his ear.

Kakashi woke with a start and almost fell from his branch. Saiya giggled.

"That wasn't funny," he growled angrily.

Saiya smiled, "It was to me." She looked at his book, "What are you reading?" She grabbed it, her eyes widdened. "You're a pervert!"

Kakashi looked stricken,"W-what?"

Saiya climbed down taking his book with her yelling, "Creepy pervert!"

As Kakashi scrambled to get down she ran deeper into the woods. And as karama would have it she ran to far and yet again slipped off a cliff.(DAMN YOU KARMA!)

Saiya hit the ground hard. It didn't take long for kakashi to find her. his students also had caught up with him. they stood on the edge of the cliff looking around. Saiya tried to move but her body wouldn't respond. She knew she wasn't dead. She tried to say something but couldn't get the words out. Then the pink haird girl spotted her. Sakura screamed, and everyone looked. must have been bad because both naruto and kakashi paled. Sauke looked a little pale too. she tried to sit up again but she could barly move.

Kakashi jumped down to her, he checked her pulse. She wondered why his skin was so much warmer then hers. Kakashi picked her up bridal style, "And this is why we don't run with out looking..." he mummbled. Saiya chuckled slightly. Kakashi looked down at her surprized... There was no way, he thought, she was dead.

Saiya felt warmth spread through her body as she lost counciousness.

A drop of water fell, causing a ripple to spread across the water. Saiya began to focus, then she heard a voice.

"I have brought you here child," The voice came from behind her. as she turned, she saw and animal standing behind her, unlike any she had ever seen. The body was of a tiger but with Gold stripes and blue fur. It's eyes bright yellow. It walked toward her, "I'm Innzu, your spirit guide so to speak." It stoped a foot from her and stared at her. "I have chosen you for a purpose child,"

Saiya looked at her confused, "me?" she asked confused.

Innzu laughed, "yes my child, you posses the power to heal, and so much more."

Saiya stared at her, "Did... did I die?"

Innzu stared at her before answering, "You died yes, twice now, but I have kept you here this time, You are needed here." she paused, "You wont beable to die if i can help it, but there's always the chance I wont beable too. Please, child, try not to die again." She began to vanish.

"WAIT!" Cried Saiya "I have so much to ask!" but Innzu was already gone.

When Saiya opened her eyes, she stairing right into a pair of blue ones.

"KAKSHI SENSI!" Naruto yelled, "She's not dead!"

Saiya began to stand to streach her sore muscles. Kakashi came over followed by sasuke and sakura.

Kakashi was clearly confused, "Well I guess you must have fainted. or something..."

Saiya smiled awkwardly. "I guess I must have slowed down my heart rate somehow." She started walking back.

When she got back to the Hokages building she desided it was time to talk to him. She found him in his office. She walked up to him. "there's something i need to tell you..." She looked down.

Sarutobi looked at her and nodded, and saiya told him everything.

Kakashi and His team wated outside the door. Naruto being curious listened in, Kakashi and everyone elce though not as noticeable listened in as well.

Saiya sighed as she finished telling him. His hat hide his expresion so Saiya couldn't tell what he was thinking. Then he stood and went to the filing cabnit and pulled out a file. He sat back down in his chair and pulled out the paper's in it.

"Sign this," He said to her.

Saiya read the papers and saw they were adoption papers. Surprized she looked at him, "Wha-?" she asked confused.

Sarutobi took her hand, "This way no questions will be asked when you stay at my house. You'll be my adopted daughter."

Saiya sputtered, "B-but.. h-h-how...."

Sarutobi patted her hand, "Sign the document." He stood, "Oh. and tomorrow I will be giving you your own personal teacher. See you at home."

Saiya only nodded. She signed the papers and walked out of the office with him right into Kakashi's group.

"Everyone," he announced, "Meet my Daughter Saiya Sarutobi."

Naruto, and sakura's mouths dropped, Sasuke's eyes widdened slightly, and Kakashi remained silent. Saiya blushed and followed Hiruzen (The Hokage) home, and was happy, for the first time in a while, generaly happy to be going home.
