Vanerro pulls out her phone and sees a text from Hallie.

           Darling: "That was amazing!! "

Darling: "Hurry back I miss you though."

Vanerro realizes she forgot her house key in her truck. She turns to walk away but then remembers the extra key under the mat. She grabs the key and unlocks the door. She looks around and sees no one. "Omosa? Just coming to get my stuff. If you ain't throw it out already of course." Vanerro didn't hear anything. She walks toward the living room and stops in her tracks. She sees empty beer cans on the floor and one spilled near the arm of the chair. The T.V. is on. She sees the top of Omosa's head above the chair he was sitting in. "Of course this dumbass fell asleep drunk watching the game." Vanerro shook her head in shame. "Omosa?" She walks further into the living room. She turns and sees Omosa sitting lifeless in his chair. She leans in close to his chest to see if he's breathing. She checks his pulse. Unresponsive. He's dead. Vanerro takes a seat on the couch across from her dead father and pulls out her second blunt and lights it. She takes a puff and blows  the smoke in the air. "Just as I predicted huh dad?" Vanerro says to the corpse. She takes another puff. She looks at him. "Is it fucked up to say you look better this way than drunk?" Vanerro asks aloud in the empty house breaking the silence. She hits it again. "Isn't it a shame not even my fondest memory of you comes to mind right now?" Vanerro asks nastily. She puts her feet up on the glass coffee table and calls 911.

   Operator: "911 what's your emergency?"

Vanerro: "My father is dead. 2334 W. Muyi Street."

Vanerro hung up the phone. "I'd say tell mom I said I miss her, but you're not heading that way." Vanerro says flicking the end of her blunt near Omosa's feet. She dusts herself off and  heads towards the front door to wait for the ambulance. 10 minutes later the EMT show up and asks her questions.

....

Hallie walks down the street and notices an ambulance and police cars driving in the direction of Vanerro's house. Hallie pulls out her phone and calls Renendez.

Renendez: "What do you want?" He asks nastily.

Hallie: "Vanerro! She's in trouble!" Halllie hangs up.

Hallie sprints as fast as she can to Vanerro's house. She sees Vanerro on the porch and runs to her. Renendez catches up, both of them eager to know what's going on.  "Vanerro! What happened? Are you okay??" Hallie asked worriedly checking Vanerro out to make sure she's okay. Vanerro didn't say a word. She points to the EMT transferring a gurney with a body bag on it. Hallie gasps in disbelief. So does Renendez. Vanerro overhears the policemen talking about the scene. She mouths one of the officers as they say, "Cause of death: Alcohol poising and Oxycontin over dose." "Time of death: 72 hours ago." Hallie hugs Vanerro and she hugs her back without saying a word staring blankly into space.
