Hiroki's POV:
Ever since Nowaki and Zoe came back from the store two days ago, Zoe has been off in her own world. Like when we have dinner together, she would have this spaced out look, like she was wondering about something. Or, whenever she comes out of her room, her face would still be emotionless, but her eyes have that sad look in them. Almost like she was sad.
I shake my head. Of course, I wouldn't know anything about children. She might just be doing it just to get attention.
As soon as I think that, I put my pen down and rest my head on my hand and lean my elbow on the desk. No. It doesn't seem like that at all. She's worried about something. Should I talk to her about it?...
I growl, frowning as I slam my hand on my desk. I sound like a freaking mother! The kid doesn't seem to like me anyway! I let out a long breath and sit up, crossing my legs and arms as I sit back in my chair and close my eyes. Why is this stressing me out so much?
"Kamijou! My sweet honey~" I feel two arms wrap around my shoulders and I frown, already knowing who it is. I sigh and push his arms off of me.
"What do you want, Miyagi?" I grumble. His arms wrap around me again and I get even more irritated.
"Huh? I can't say hi to a friend? You're so mean!" He whines, hugging me tighter.
I push his arms off of me again. "Hi, Miyagi. Happy?"
"No. You forgot to ask me how my day is going so far~" he says, chuckling.
I look back at him and glare. "I don't have time for your antics right now. I need to finish grading test."
He looks at me for a second, then pokes my forehead. "Remember what I said about frowning? You're going to get wrinkles!"
I give him my best death glare and the atmosphere starts to get dark around me. He raises his hands up and backs away, going to his desk. I let out another breath and turn back to my desk, working on the papers. Or rather, trying to.
My mind instantly falls back to Zoe and what might be bothering her. It irritates me that this girl, that I barely know, is making me have this kind of protectiveness for her. I growl lowly and put down my pencil, putting my head in my hands and leaning on the table.
"You know, Kamijou...." I hear Miyagi walk over and stand next to me, leaning on my desk. "... if something is bothering you, you shouldn't hold it in."
I glare at him. " nothing's bothering me."
He lights a cigarette and crosses his arms. "Then why do you look stressed?"
"Because you keep bothering me instead of going back to work!" I snapped at him. He acts like he's wounded and started to fake cry, wrapping his arms around my shoulders again.
"You really are Kamijou-the-Devil!!!" He whines.
"GET OFF OF ME AND DO YOUR DAMN JOB!!" I yell, trying to get out of his arms, but his grip gets tighter.
"NO! MY SWEET HONEY!!!"
"GET THE F**K OFF!"
