I Don't Trust You... (JR) BOOK 1

Chapter 15

Zoe's POV:

   After Faith, Jade and I said our goodbyes to Demyx, we went back to the house. Demyx nearly talked our ears off for a good 3 hours before it started to get dark. When I noticed, I suggested we meet up later on in the week and they agreed and Demyx went home.

As soon as we walk through the door, we hear Nowaki and Hiroki calling our names. We look at each other, then walk down the hall to the living room. Nowaki smiles at us, while Nowaki still has his usual stern look.

   "What's up?" Faith says, sitting down on the couch. Jade and I follow suit and sit next to her.

"We're going to have dinner with a few of our friends, Saturday." Hiroki says, straightening his tie.

   "And we want to introduce you to them." Nowaki adds.

     "Is Mr. Miyagi going to be there?" Jade asks.

   Hiroki looks at her and nods. "Yes. Miyagi and his boyfriend will be there."

    Jade's eyes sort of light up at that and her lips spread into a wide smile. I raise an eyebrow at her, then look over at Faith, who has the same confused look. She looks at me and I shrug. We'll just ask her later.

    Nowaki clears his throat and smiles at us. "In the mean time, I was thinking we can all go out and buy you guys new clothes." He says. Faith and Jade instantly jump up, nearly scaring the crap out of me.

    "We get new clothes?!" Jade yells. Faith has her eyes wide and a smile on her face. I mentally face palm. I forgot we were never allowed to get new clothes.

    Hiroki furrows his brows, while Nowaki nods his head, a look of confusion in his eyes. Jade squeals and instantly grabs both mine and Faiths's arms. She starts to drag us out of the room, calling a 'thank you' over her shoulder as she pulls us down the hall to my room.

    As soon as we enter, she shuts the door and looks at us. Faith starts to laugh when Jade grabs her hands and starts to jump excitedly.

  I shake my head. "Someone's happy."

   "Let me be great!" She says, laughing. Faith smiles, then lets go of her hands and crosses her arms.

   "Speaking of happy. You were definitely happy when Hiroki-sama said that Mr. Miyagi would be there."

    "Yeah. What's up with that?" I ask, crossing my arms too and looking at her.

   Jade stops jumping and shrugs. "I don't know. He just seems......cool, I guess." She says, playing with her hair and not looking at us. Faith and I look at each other, then back at Jade.

    "Sure, Jade." Faith says, rolling her eyes.

   Jade glares at her. "I'm telling the truth!"

  "Mmhm." I hum.

   Jade pouts and crosses here arms. "You guys are mean."

   I let out a low chuckle, while Faith giggles. Jade eventually starts to laugh too, but then stops and looks at me with wide eyes. I give her a confused look as she walks over to me and takes a hold of my hand.
