Chapter 14

Zoe's POV:

Demyx smiles and spreads his arms out. Jade, Faith and I instantly run to him, wrapping our arms around him in a tight hug.

"I missed you guys so much..." he mumbles, pulling us closer. Faith pulls away first and slaps his arm.

   "What happened to you?!" She yells.

   Jade slaps his other arm. "We thought you were dead!"

Demyx flinches and rubs his arms. "Geez, calm down! I promise I'll explain everything to guys!"

I shake my head and hug him again. "Good to see you're alive."

I hear him chuckle and hug me back. "Yeah, I'm glad you guys are okay too."

Jade clears her throat. We pull away and look at her. Her arms are crossed and she looks Demyx up and down, smirking.

"So I see you got what you want. You make a sexy guy." She teases. Faith giggles and I roll my eyes. I forgot Demyx used to be a girl.

   Demyx blushes and scratches the back of his head. "Yeah, thanks." He puts his hand down and smiles at us. "My parents were so happy that I was back and paid for me to get the operation." He says proudly.

  I give him a small smile and look him over. He does look cute. His dark blue hair used to come past his shoulders, but now reaches just the middle of his neck and has light blue highlights. His right eye has a deeper red color than the last time we saw him, as well as his left deep blue eye. My eyes trail over his body, which has become more masculine. You can tell that he has muscle, not buff, but not skinny either.

Overall: he's a hot transgender.

I'm broken out of my thoughts by Faith giggling at me. I look at her and raise an eyebrow.

"You're starring, Zoe~" she teases, which causes Jade and Demyx to start laughing too. I shrug.

"What? He's hot." I say simply, which causes Demyx to laugh again and throw his arm over my shoulder.

"Awww, thanks, Zoe! I think you're hot too~" he purrs at me. I roll my eyes and push him away playfully, which causes him to back away with his hands in the air, surrendering. Jade and Faith giggling behind their hands.

I let out a barely noticeable smile. I remember we used to be like this. Whenever one of us were upset, he would joke around and flirt with us just to make us feel better. Sometimes, he would do it, just to see our reactions. Either way, it made us laugh- or rather, it'd make Jade and Faith laugh and I would either roll my eyes and rarely let out a giggle.

After a few seconds, Demyx stops laughing and looks at us. "So, if you're here, I'm assuming Kazu made it out as well?"

    As soon as he says that, my body visibly freezes and I feel my face go emotionless. Faith quickly steps in.

   "Um, we don't know exactly..."she says nervously.

   "We lost track of him and Zoe the night we left. We just recently met back up with Zoe, but we don't know where he could be." Jade cuts in.

Demyx nods his head and looks at me. "Still mad at him?" He asks. I shrug my shoulders and cross my arms, not saying anything.

He sighs. "I take that as a yes."

I look away. I'm not feeling up to this convo. Jade seems to get that I don't want to talk about him and grabs Demyx's arm.

"Enough of that! We want to know how you escaped!" She says.
