I Don't Trust You... (JR) BOOK 1

Chapter 18

(A/N: this is a filler.)

Zoe's POV:

   After that awkward dinner, Hiroki and Nowaki took us home. I think he realized that after my little "scene" I wasn't up for any conversation...not like I talk that much as it is.

   Though, I have to say, Jade had certainly taken a liking to Shinobu and Mr. Miyagi. Which I surprising because she usually doesn't get comfortable around people she just met. The same for Faith too. She seems to have warmed up to Usami and Misaki because she was caught up in her own little conversation with them during dinner. Well, I'm glad they're warming up to people.

   Can't say the same for me though.

Anyway, after that whole fiasco, we went home and I fell asleep without saying a thing to anyone. I could tell Nowaki wanted to talk to me and Hiroki was just as curious, but didn't say anything. I'm glad they didn't. I wasn't going to tell them anyway.

Speaking of Fiascos...

   As I'm laying down in my bed half asleep, I feel a small churning in my stomach. I shrug it off, thinking it's nothing and keep my eyes closed. But, it started to get worse and I gasp from the surprise pain in my stomach. I try to sit up, but that seems to make it worse and I end up in a fetal position. I whimper, feeling my eyes sting with tears.

I try again to sit up and succeed. I'm about to get out of bed when I feel something wet underneath me. I look down.....and scream.

"F-Faith! Ja-Jade!" I cry. What the hell is going on?!

I hear loud footsteps running towards my room and a second later, the door opens. I turn my tear stained eyes towards the door to see Jade and Faith standing there, their eyes wide and out of breath.

   "Zoe, what's wrong?" Faith asks frantically, walking towards me.

   I open my mouth, but I ended up gasping in pain again and fall back on the bed. I reach my hand up to touch my stomach, but Jade yells when she looks at my hand.

   "You're bleeding!" She yells.

I nod my head and clench my teeth. "It hurts...but....I-it's starting....to calm down a...bit.." I say in between breaths. It's true, the pain is starting to-

Nope. It's back.

  I groan and burry my face in the blankets. At least it doesn't hurt as much as before.

    "I'm going to get Hiroki and Nowaki-sama!" I hear Faith yell. A second later, I heard her run down the hall while Jade runs over to me. I feel her hand start to rub my back as I calm down a bit. To be honest, I'm mostly freaked out by the blood that my stomach being in pain.

I hear more footsteps and Nowaki, Hiroki and Faith are at the door. I glance up at them to see concern written all their faces, but Hiroki has....panic?

"What happened?! What's wrong?!" Hiroki yells, quickly walking over to my side. Before I can say anything, he gasps and grabs my hand, seeing the blood. He seems to panic even more and starts to talk quickly and I can't understand a word he's saying.

I glance at Nowaki, concerned and I notice that his cheeks are red. I raise an eyebrow at him and he scratches the back of his head, nervous.

"What's wrong?" I ask. I wince a little as I carefully sit up. Before he could say anything, Hiroki starts to yell again.

"Zoe! You idiot! You're hurt!" He yells.

"Hiro-san-"

"Zoe, lay back down! You might hurt-"

"She's not hurt-" Nowaki tries again, but he turns to him, yelling.

"She need to go to-!"

"Hiro-san!" Nowaki says firmly. Everyone freezes and looks at him, surprised. He had never sounded so firm before.

   "Nowaki?..." Hiroki says, confused and, from the looks of it, embarrassed.

   Nowaki clears his throat and looks to the side. "Um, she's not hurt....she just, um....."

   "She just what?" Faith says, a little impatient. Jade nods and I look on expectantly.

   Nowaki looks even more embarrassed and he coughs a bit. "She just...has her.....her ....period...."

   Silence fills the room.

   "WHAT?!" Hiroki yells. When he turns back towards me, I can see that his whole face is a deep red and I can't help but think that it looks funny. Wait, what's a period?

   "Um....Nowaki?" I say tentatively. Hiroki stops yelling and they both look at me.

   I glance at Jade and Faith and they both shrug. They don't know either. I clear my throat and look back at them.

"What's a 'period'?" I ask.

And so, Nowaki and Hiroki had to go through the painful explaining of what a period is and why we have it. And let me tell you-

It sucks.

You know? I always wondered why Akuma always had us take those strange pills at one point. Now I know why.

The pervert.

Now I have to lay in bed all day until these "cramps", or what I like to call "torture", goes away. And that will take five to seven days!

Sometimes I hate being a girl....
