El

Three of out the five notes have been delivered to Mike in the most confusing ways possible. This next note was going to be from Lucas, though not exactly given by Lucas.

We were walking out of the cafeteria when Max began stomping ahead. She seemed angry, just as planned.

"Max!" I called after her as she turned her head, still walking.

"Ya?"

"Slow down, what's the rush?" I asked as Mike looked over at me.

"I really wanna get to math class," she said, stopping and fully turning behind to us.

"You hate math," Mike pointed out.

"Sure I do," she sarcastically said back, patting Mike on the shoulder and leaving behind a note that was stuck in her hand. She swiftly ran away down the hall to the classroom before he noticed the note on his shoulder.

"Another one?" I noticed.

"Camouflage bandanas are not my best friend. You are," he read aloud and shot his head to Lucas. "Guys, I have a deep feeling you're writing these notes."

"Okay Mike, we are totally that cheesy," Dustin laughed as he, Will, and Lucas walked off to math class. He turned to me.

"You wouldn't lie to me," he started. I laughed.

"I love you so much, more than to make a little surprise."

"I love you too," he chuckled back as we continued on to class.

Mike

This odd day was nearly over, thank god. The seconds ticked down as the bell finally rung for 3pm. I rushed out, hopping into the car with El.

"How was your special day Micheal?" my mom asked as I shrugged. She looked at me through the little drivers mirror thing. I never knew what it was called.

"Well I hope it gets better sweetie," she said.

"Thanks Mom," I replied, smiling.

Once we arrived home, El and I piled into the basement and sat down on the couch. A final highlight of this day, no homework.

"Movie?" El asked, struggling to look up at me from my arm's firm grip on her shoulders. I laughed and slightly pulled away from her, making a doubting face.

"Depends which one," I said and raised my eyebrows.

El rose from the couch over to the small box full of an assortment of movies. She pulled out a collective box full of the single greatest ten part movie series known to man. Star Wars.

"Nice job," I complimented as she smiled back at me while she popped the first movie in. Once she set it up, El came back and cuddled into my arms on the couch.

Hours after the epic movie, I got up and placed all the movies away. Staring at a screen for a couple hours may not exactly be the best thing for my 20-20 vision.

"Is this how you would have liked to spend your birthday?" El asked behind me, her legs folded up on the couch.

I finished placing all the movies back into the box and headed back to the couch. I sat facing her and placed a soft kiss on her cheek.
