Mike

The Demogorgon was the reason we never went back to the road of Mirkwood. We still need to calm down about it for a while before we take that road again. In light of that, we decided to take the road along the quarry, a little bit outside of the woods. 

We were riding silently and slowly. About ten minutes in, Dustin stopped pedaling as soon as we got to the quarry. This was the exact place where Troy and his hooligan friend had threatened us. 

"Guys, what's that?" Dustin asked as Lucas and I stopped. 

"What is it Dustin?" Lucas looked over at him. 

"I heard something. In the woods." 

"Probably just the wind Dustin. Trees tend to make noise when they move around." I commented. 

"UM, do you see any powerful winds around here?" he retorted. 

The leaves began to rustle in the woods again. And again. And again. That wasn't from the wind. No it was a person. 

Lucas

These two people are being stupid. It's fall. The leaves fall to the ground and make noise! Obviously its that! 

"Eleven?" Mike said.

He needs to let go of this. I tried to be quiet a couple days back because she just left and he seemed depressed, given his crying. But this time, no. He needs to get over this girl. 

"Oh my god," I whispered and rolled my eyes. Dustin gave me a look and Mike walked a little closer back to us. 

"What?" Mike asked. 

I spit it out. All of it. "Two weeks! Nearly two weeks, nonstop about this one girl you met two weeks ago!" 

"Lucas, what are you talking about?" 

"You know exactly what I'm talking about." I pushed his puny shoulder and got off of my bike. "For the past two weeks, you have done nothing but whine, complain and hang out with this girl that we just met. You act like you like her so much and that she's the most important thing in your life but guess what. You have three other friends too." 

Mike stepped back a bit. His eyes looked glazed over, but I'm not letting him cry until I'm done with him. 

"In case you haven't noticed, but Will is okay now. Me and Dustin spend days with him in the hospital making sure he felt better. We let it slide because we assumed you wanted some time with El. But it's gone too far. Let her go! You've known her for a little over a week! You're not hopelessly in love with her. You're just happy another girl actually likes your nerdy little self for once!" 

Mike came closer to me and shook his head  and clenched his fist. I immediately regret what I just said.

"You know what Lucas. Since the beginning of this whole thing, you've never been supportive of El being in our little group. You call me blind, but maybe you just can't open your eyes enough to see that Eleven was the one who made everything okay again."  

"She made everything worse, Mi-" 

"NO SHE DIDN'T! She fixed everything. She hurt herself so she can save us and Will and the rest of mankind by a beast who was going to feed on the human race. Does that mean nothing to you?! Without Eleven, my three best friends in the world would be dead right now!" 

Wow. 

"On top of all that's happened, I try and spend time with someone who is truly amazing. Eleven is the first girl I've ever had feelings for in my 13 years of living! And no, I actually have no clue what I'm doing, but at least I'm with her. I'm making the person who kept us alive happy. If that actually means staying away from three people who I have seen every single day since the fourth grade for a few days, than so be it! I like her Lucas! She's my everything and I would do anything to keep her safe." he started choking up and tears ran down his face. "Eleven is our hero. If you care to admit it or not, she's still the most wonderful person I've ever met. And I'm going to find her! Even if it means spending the rest of my life searching for her! I will find her!" 

"I know Eleven," a voice said behind us. 

We all leaped and turned towards a girl with jet black hair and a coffee skin tone. 

"Two?" Mike said.
