"Let's go, I gotta show you something," I said as I grabbed Max's hand and led her to the park. I stopped in the middle of the basketball court. I removed her hands from her eyes and held the things behind my back.

"What?" she asked, her smile slowly fading.

"Two tickets to the Bulldogs' game! Tonight!" I said, holding the tickets out in front of me. Her face lit up but then slowly saddened.

"And how do you plan on getting us there?" she asked, crossing her arms.

"I was gonna have us ride there on my bike. It's not far, just a few minutes," I told her.

"I hate riding on this thing! It's so old," she snapped.

"It's last year's model, it's literally the newest one out there," I said, but she completely ignored it.

"God, Lucas. Do you ever plan ahead?" she yelled and I stepped back.

"Wha-" I started.

"This happens almost every time and I'm sick of it! Don't say you have something special planned for me when in reality, you no clue of what your doing! You never organize anything!" she continued.

"Hey, you're disorganized too sometimes," I tried.

"Do not bring me into this. This was supposed to be a fun night. Thanks for ruining it," she said and started walking back.

"Max, wait! I can fix this!" I yelled back.

"No Lucas, you can't fix something that's already broken. Don't bother asking me out on a date again until you get the plans straight!" she ended and ran off.

I had absolutely no clue what to do. I headed to Mike's house.

Mike

"And that's why you are the best," I said, holding El's hand as we walked along the stores on the sidewalk.

"How can I top those beautiful reasons?" El joked, leaning on to me.

"I think I can," I said, going a little in front of El and stopping her. I grabbed her hands and put them up to her eyes.

"Your going to top yourself?" she asked.

"Yup, now keep your eyes shut and follow me," I said and led her into the Ice cream place.

"Ice cream?!" she exclaimed once she opened her eyes.

"You guess correctly," I said as I kissed her cheek. We took a seat onto one of the booths inside as a waitress came over.

"Hi, my name is Sarah, what can I get for you guys today?" the nice lady asked.

"I'll have a scoop of mint chocolate and the lady will have a scoop of strawberry, please," I said, glancing a little to El.

"Alright, be out in a second," the waitress replied, copying our order onto her notepad.

"Thank you," I said as she walked away. I saw El with an angry face.

"What was that?" she asked, tilting her head.

"What was what?" I laughed as my smile faded. She was seriously mad.

"You know that I hate strawberry ice cream," she said and I stood shocked.

"No, you love strawberry ice cream. You can shove down a pint of it in no time at all!"

"Oh my god Mike, I swear. We've been dating for five months now, but it's like you don't know me at all!" she said, disappointed.

"What?" I asked.
