Mike

I can't tell you how happy I am that everyone in my life is safe and content after the events of this week. Dustin and Lucas went home with their parents and Will's family stayed with Will after we left the hospital. My mom, dad, Holly, El and I are all currently on the ride back home to my house. 

I held hands with El in the backseat secretly, making sure my mom or Holly ( who was in a car seat next to us) didn't see us. I don't want anyone making teases at me for my first crush and possible crush who likes me back. I really like El. I don't want anything to ruin us. 

El

We arrived at Mike's house again. I've only been gone for two days from his house, but I felt like I missed his house. It is now my new home and I'm so excited to live with Mike. Holly is awesome and his mom and dad are so sweet for taking me in. I'll learn to live with this knot in my stomach and my increased heart beat when I'm around Mike. 

We walked in and Mike's mom and dad assumed to their businesses. Holly went with her mom and we heard stepping coming from upstairs. I got scared and clenched Mike's hand, though he assured me it was nothing when he yelled "Nancy?" and got a response of her saying "Ya?" from upstairs. I calmed. 

"Mike, why don't you get El settled in for bed. It's nearly 1 in the morning. We should get some rest," Mike's mom said. 

Mike nodded and motioned me downstairs into the basement, my home. 

Mike

We hurried down the stairs into the basement where El slept. I could see the sleepiness in her eyes and it's honestly so gorgeous. I mean, she's gorgeous with any look in her eyes. 

I grabbed a pair of leggings and a t-shirt that seemed fitting for El. from Nancy's  washed clothing basket. I handed them to El and she walked over to the bathroom and I left the door slightly ajar, just how she liked it. 

As she changed, I fixed up a couple things in her little fort. I took the old pillow she slept on and replaced it with a bigger pillow I brought down a couple days ago. I threw the old pillow onto the couch with a blanket on it. 

El came out of the bathroom and I stared at her. I swear to everything, she could be wearing a garbage bag and still look beautiful. I've never seen her in actual, normal clothes except that dress. It was a stunning change.

El

I walked out of the bathroom and stood there for a couple seconds as Mike looked at me, surprised. I felt warm in my stomach again, smiling and proceeded to the fort Mike built for me. He's so kind to go through that trouble. 

"Comfortable?" Mike asked as I nodded. 

"Just like you promised," I said, feeling red in my cheeks while Mike's face lit up like a Christmas tree. 

He got up from kneeling down by my fort and started walking up the stairs. I saddened at the sight of him leaving so I spoke. 

"Mike," I said. 

"Ya, El?" 

"Stay." 

He nodded and continued walking backgrounds down into the basement again. He fluffed a pillow on the couch and spread out a blanket on top of him. I smiled at him as him and I fell asleep for that night.
