Kylo Ren's boots left heavy footprints as he quickly stomped his way to the snowy ground. He was limping slightly after blow delivered to his thigh. He relished in the pain. It made him stronger, allowed him to gather strength from the Dark side and use it to defend himself.
Juban was either deep inside of the castle or somewhere in the woods. He was probably looking for you, and that made Kylo burn with anger. He had no way of knowing if you were there with your parents or not, but he had faith that you had put on board safely.
He approached the Finalizer and saw the still open gate. Two of his troops that stood guard were outside. Kylo felt burning rage in his chest. If you were there, why weren't they leaving?
"Where is she?" he shouted. "Where is the princess?"
"She was never delivered to us, sir," a trooper answered. "Nor the Queen or King."
Kylo's heart fell. He whipped around and looked back at the castle. Although part of him wanted to take his anger out on his soldiers, he went made his way back to the castle.
If you were harmed in any way, he would kill them all. If you were killed - he would be unstoppable. His rage would be released on them all, and he would have no care for his own life. He would gladly have it taken from him if he could kill Juban.
The inside of the castle was still, half of the war had taken part outside. However, several of Juban's soldiers remained in position, marching along hallways and brutally killing chambermaids, butlers, dukes, and everyone else they could get their hands on.
As Kylo approached three, he held out his gloved hand. With a twist of his wrist, the one in the middle fell to the floor with a broken neck. The others turned, their weapons at the ready. Kylo ignited his lightsaber and threw his arm out, using the skills he learned over time as he viciously sliced through the air and killed the men in a matter of seconds.
He looked down at the body they had been abusing with their weapons. His face grimaced slightly as he felt relief upon seeing that it wasn't you, but a maid instead. She was already dead. He moved on.
If he didn't find you soon, he had a feeling that Juban already had you.

Your eyes opened slowly. You had to blink the sticky wetness out of your eyes before you could focus. You felt a tugging on your ankle, and with a start, realized that you were being dragged down the hall by a soldier. Your hair had fallen out of your updo, and now it was sticking to your blood coated forehead.
You whimpered. You had to choke down your fear. Your blaster was gone, but that didn't mean that you could give up. There was always something you could do - and perhaps trying was all there was.
You kicked your leg. The soldier dropped your ankle, and for the half second you were free, you flipped onto your stomach and pushed yourself off the floor. You ran the opposite way. Halfway down, you felt a hand grip the back of your hair and yank.
You yelped loudly. Your hair was long enough to allow you to look back and see his hand wrapping around and around your hair. You gasped and pulled against him, tears pricking at your eyes as you struggled to free yourself. Hairs were being plucked out of your head.
Feeling overwhelmed with pain, you grabbed his other wrist. His hand held a dagger. By pushing his arm, you were able to cut the dagger through your hair. You were free from his grasp.
You sprinted away, your hair now messily brushing against the tops of your shoulders. The soldier was chasing after you, but even more terrifyingly so, you heard the voice of Juban.
"Where is she, Siujr?" he yelled. "I don't care that you have her bloody hair - where is she?"
"She's this way, sir!"
You ran through two doors you knew led to your chambers. Perhaps it was suicidal to go in there, but you knew it well. You could - if you got there in time - unlock your balcony doors and throw yourself out.
Just as you entered end of the corridor and saw your bedroom doors, two hands were on you. You sucked in a sharp intake of air, prepared to scream, when your back was pushed against the wall and you saw Kylo.
Relief filled you just to see him. He was alive and he was finally with you. He held a finger to his lips and you quieted. He listened for footsteps. You let him grip you by your shoulders. He pulled you into the throne room.
"I have a ship," he said softly, "and I'm putting you on it, and then we're leaving-"
He stopped midsentence and midstep. His brown eyes widened. You followed his glance and felt your entire world crumble.
Standing at the front of the thrones was Juban. His face was bloody but his smile was wide, and in front of him was Marlo. Her back was pressed against his chest and a knife was against her throat. Even more hauntingly so, your parents were in their designated thrones - throats slit.
Your knees felt weak. A strangled cry escaped you. Kylo pushed you back behind him and ignited his lightsaber. He pointed it at Juban.
"Let her go," he hissed.
Juban chuckled. "Excuse me, Commander, but I need your princess. We have unfinished business."
"Not happening," he growled.
"Please," you cried, "Marlo never hurt anybody. Don't do this to her."
"It's futile to beg," he sneered, "but do it anyway, Princess. It suits you."
Kylo was shaking with anger. Juban laughed, seemingly enjoying the uncontrollable temper of his newfound enemy.
For several seconds, you four stood there. You wished so badly to trade places with Marlo, to bring her to safety. She was innocent. You guessed that she had gotten into Juban's hold by fighting for you. It was always you.
"Well," Juban said, "this is getting quite boring, don't you think?"
Marlo's eyes widened as his hand moved. Your eyes filled with tears as you saw her blood spill from her throat and onto her dress and his hand. The dagger had traced a thin yet deadly line across her throat.
"No!" you cried, your voice almost gone. Kylo's face contorted in pain as he watched the woman his wife loved fall to the ground. "Oh, no - Marlo!"
Just then, the doors burst open. The Knights of Ren ran in. Juban smirked and held his arms out, almost welcoming them. Kylo immediately wrapped an arm around you and began to pull you out of the room.
The entire time, your eyes were frozen on Marlo's. You did not get to say goodbye to her. She was torn from you - the only woman who ever loved you, the only woman to raise you. Your mother. Gone.
