Nobody's pov

"Come on mommy! Hurry we are gonna be late!" Madeline rushed her mother, tugging her arm and speeding down the semi-empty hallway. "Sweetie slow down, we won't be late I promise, we have an appointment and we're still a little early." Lauren reasoned with her 6 year old daughter.

The explanation seemed to have gone un-acknowledged because the child didn't slow her pace and continued her way down the elementary school's hallway.

Lauren's pov

A few turns later Madeline and I reached room 143 on the second floor. I knocked on the already open door with my left hand while holding onto Madeline's hand with the other. A young brunette seated in the teachers desk turned her line of vision toward us and gave a wide smile which I returned unhesitatingly. "Madi!" The young teacher greeted happily, squatting down in front of the girl holding onto her small waist.

She then got up and held out her hand to me, "Hello Mrs. Jauregui, I'm Ms. Cabello, Madeline's teacher." I accepted the gesture and shook her hand. "It's just 'Ms.' not 'Mrs.' , it's nice to meet you properly." I replied having already seen the young teacher before in school meetings that were held for the parents and sometimes teachers as well. "Oh sorry, I shouldn't have assumed." She immediately apologized and I chuckled at her response that got her blushing at the mistake. "It's fine, I would've thought the same." I reassured her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Ok, so let's begin." She said and walked across the room and stood in front of a desk with chair on both sides. She pointed towards the chairs and spoke, "Please, sit." I gave her an appreciative smile before responding with a 'thank you', she nodded and I walked Madeline and I to the chairs and sat her down before doing so myself.

Camila's pov

Talk about beauty. Now I see where Madeline get her looks from, I was finding it hard to keep eye contact without getting distracted by the colour of them.

I sat down after them and placed a folder in between us, "So these are Madeline's most recent tests and I have to say she is one of my best students, she's hardworking and she is very respectful to her classmates and myself." I admitted while setting the papers so they were facing the young mother. She looked down at her daughter and smiled, "I'm glad that she's not causing any trouble." The black haired woman teased her daughter and received a playful glare in return causing her to giggle. I watched their interaction with pure admiration, her giggle made me smile even wider, it was a beautiful sound that I'd love to hear more often.

I laughed and they both looked over at me. After a few minutes Lauren spoke, "So what's you name...first name?" I didn't hesitate with my reply, wanting to get to know her more. "Camila, and yours if you don't mind me asking?" She shook her head and gave me a smile, "Not at all, it's Lauren" Lauren Jauregui, beautiful name for a beautiful woman. "Thank you" I heard Lauren say, oh shit "I said that out loud didn't I?" I asked her blushing furiously while avoiding eye contact. "Yes you did" she said with a giggle. "Ms. C, you look like a tomato!" Madeline exclaimed with a small giggle. I cleared my throat and let out a nervous chuckle while Lauren smirked in amusement. I quickly moved onto another subject about Madeline's participation in class.
----
"So I guess that's all I needed to say, Madeline really is a great student and thank you for coming." I concluded and stood form my table, Lauren and her daughter stood up right after, shaking my hand and a hug from the student.

"No thank you, and I hope Madeline continues to behave in your class or I'll have to come and accompany her to one of her lessons." she joked, well I think it was a joke, not that I'm complaining. I laughed while Madeline pouted at her mother, Lauren pulled out a paper and quickly scribbled on it before handing it to me. "Here, it's my number..I know you probably have it in the system but you know just in case...." she said nervously before continuing "you know if something happens with Madeline, you'd have a quicker access." now it was my turn to smirk in amusement.
