A pair of slim arms snakes its way around Lauren's waist, pulling her body close to their chest and placed a soft kiss on her neck while slightly swaying them from side to side, making the older girl to giggle. A swarm of butterflies erupted inside her stomach as she turned around on her arms, resting her own around her neck.

"Hi." Lauren breaths out, Camila placing a quick kiss on her lips which Lauren smiled widely at. The people around them would usually think that Lauren was the more dominant one in their relationship, considering she was the taller one between the two and Camila just looked so innocent but that wasn't the case for them.

Camila didn't like the fact that Lauren was taller so she usually wears heels while Lauren just uses flats like she usually does.

"I miss you." She says, pouting adorable at the green eyed girl who scrunched up her nose at her but giggle nonetheless.

"You two literally saw each other yesterday." Dinah butts in and takes a gag as Normani just laughs at her, shaking her head in amusement. The brown eyed girl turned to glare at her, kicking her foot forcefully to Dinah's to which the Tongan yelped and grabbed her foot in pain, glaring right back at the brown eyed Latina.

Lauren stifles a laughter and buried her face on the crock of her girlfriend's neck, wrapping her arms around the girl's waist tightly in an embrace. She loved the smell of her girlfriend, it was so addicting. Sooner or later, Dinah and Normani left to go to their practices for cheerleading while the other couple also decided to head to the field.

Lauren and Camila sat down on the grass under a huge tree with the green eyed girl resting the side of her head on Camila's lap.

"Camz?"

"Yes baby girl?" Camila replied immediately and glanced down at Lauren when she sensed her nervousness and it made her worry.

"Can I...Can I go over to a friend's house later?....to do a project together." Lauren asked, looking up at Camila hopefully. The girl looked like a small puppy begging to go to the park with his owner.

The reason why Lauren needed to ask wasn't because Camila didn't trust her, but for another obvious reason.

"Who?" Camila asked, mindlessly playing with her girlfriend's short black hair she had finally decided to cut after years of not wanting to. Lauren placed her lip between her teeth and turned over on her position to look up at her girlfriend's beautiful features.

"Sam." With the sound of the unfamiliar name escaping the girl's lips, Camila snapped her head down to look at Lauren whit furrowed eyebrows.

"Sam?" She repeated, frowning in confusion when she couldn't quite recognised the common name. Lauren nodded and reached over to play with the girl's fingers, waiting for the long speech that the girl would start supposedly right about...

"Okay." The girl shrugged and Lauren's eyebrows shot up in surprise, looking up at Camila as well. The younger girl didn't seem to notice her surprised stare and continued  playing with her hair, humming an unfamiliar song.

"Okay?" Lauren repeated. She was quite surprised to say the least, because Camila would usually speak a whole paragraph about what boys are like in their school and that she has to be careful. Sometimes, she wouldn't even allow Lauren or at least let her go with her.

"Yeah, why?" Her girlfriend finally looked down at her to connect her chocolate brown eyes with the emerald green ones, smiling sweetly. She didn't have the usual look on her face when Lauren mentions a guy name.

"He's a guy." Lauren pointed out, thinking that Camila just thought that as was a girl but Camila just nodded her head.

"I know that." Her girlfriend chuckled, a music to Lauren's ear that she couldn't help but smile and look at her in adoration. What if Camila changed? What if she wasn't the overprotective Camila anymore? Lauren actually liked that side of her but if she did change, she wouldn't mind. "You're going to my game on Saturday though, right?"

"I would never miss it."

"What the fuck...." Camila muttered under her breath, watching as her girlfriend laughed at something they the unfamiliar brown haired boy have said. Her heart quickened its pace when the corridors grew silent and the next thing she knew was the boy's lips crashed onto Lauren's.

Without a second thought, Camila ran towards them and harshly pulled the boy's shirt before throwing a hard punch right across his face. Rage and anger built up inside of her, glaring hardly at the boy who had lost his balance and was down on the ground with a pained expression.

"What the..." He trailed off and looked up at a pissed off Camila, her knuckles clenched tightly and was now turning white but somehow managed to control herself before she could throw another punch.

Lauren immediately snapped out of it and wiped her lips with back of her palm with a grimace on her face, before turning to look at the scene that was about to unfold in forth of her. Sam stood up on his feet, wiping his bleeding lip with the sleeves of his hoodie.

"What the hell?" He exclaimed before glancing at Lauren who was looking down at her shoes, fiddling with the sleeves of her soccer varsity jacket that had a CABELLO printed in big bold letters on the back. He was pretty sure Cabello wasn't her last name and he didn't know who's varsity jacket she was wearing. He figured it was from her boyfriend but he had never seen her around with a boy before.

"I'll say this once so you better fucking listen," Camila hissed, jabbing her finger on his chest making him take a few steps backward in slight fright. She may be small but she was intimidating.

"If I see you touch Lauren or even be around her ever again, I won't hesitate to cut your fucking balls off because she's mine! Understood that buddy?" The girl says in a low tone while Lauren stayed put in her ground, scared that if she moves, Camila might yell at her too and it's honestly just scary. "Do you understand?!" Camila screamed and the boy only nodded furiously, avoiding eye contact. Her voice practically boomed throughout the empty hallways of their school, making Lauren flinch. "Speak!"

"Y-yes." Sam weakly answered and stiffened when the girl took a few steps forward towards him.

"What was that?"

"Yes, I understand." He says more clearly and Camila contented with his answer, took Lauren's hands and leaded her back to the field where they should be. The grip of the girl on Lauren's hands wasn't tight nor was it too lose and Lauren loved that about her because despite Camila being mad about something, she still made sure not to hurt Lauren.

"Tell me if he goes near you again, okay?" Camila softly says, having to calm herself down before they arrive back to the field. Lauren just nodded and avoided eye contact with the girl until Camila placed her finger under her chin and made her look up at her, tears breaking inside her eyes. They stopped in the middle of the hallway as Camila wiped the girl's tears away. "No baby, please don't cry..it's okay, it's not your fault."

"It's-sorry..I-I could have a-avoided that if I was being c-cautious." Lauren's lips trembled and she buried her face on the girl's neck while Camila wrapped her arms around her waist and placed a gentle kiss on the top of her head. "N-now you hurt your hand."

Camila chuckled and shook her head, rubbing circling patterns on her girlfriend's back. "My hands are fine, just a bit sore but it's fine. Did he do anything else to you while I was gone? Oh god, did he do something to you when you were alone at your house?"

"No." Lauren shook her head and Camila almost sighed in relief before pulling away from the hug to be able to look at Lauren properly.

"I'm sorry if I'm too overprotective but it's just that I don't want anything bad to happen to you. I love you, remember that okay?"

"I love you too....and your overprotectiveness, it makes me feel safe." Lauren honestly says making Camila smiles. She looks so small and vulnerable but still cute nonetheless.

"Good." She breaths out and place a soft kiss on Lauren's lips, earning a giggle. "Didn't want him to be your last kiss for tonight, would I?"
