The second the clock hit 5:00 Lauren was out the door. She was ecstatic to go home and see her girlfriend because she had a huge surprise. But as soon as she opened the door she was met with a much different scene than what she expected. Camila's things stuffed into duffle bags and suitcases by the front door, rustling was heard upstairs. Confused, Lauren hurried upstairs to find her girlfriend hastily packing the last of her things into her suitcase.

"Babe? Where are you going?" Camila froze in place.

"I didn't realize you'd be home this early.." her hoarse voice replayed.

"Yeah, I wanted to see you. Babe, are you okay?" Lauren asked her now trembling girlfriend who was still not even glancing her way. It was a stupid question, she was clearly not okay. But Lauren didn't know where to start.

"I'm fine. I-I just- I need to go." She turned to exit the room, but a severely confused Lauren was blocking the door. Camila stepped to the side, but Lauren stepped with her purposely blocking the exit.

"Lauren, please-"

"No! I'm not moving until you explain to me why you are upset!" An increasingly frustrated Lauren interrupted. Camila still shaking was frozen in her spot, so close to just breaking down.

"Baby?" Lauren whispered in a shooting voice. She grabbed Camila's face gently turning her to look her in the eyes. She could see the tear-stained cheeks of the younger Latina. But Camila forcefully took Lauren's hands away from her, still trying her hardest to not look Lauren in the eyes. "Baby. Please, what's wrong? It upsets me when you are upset. I can't stand seeing you like this. Please, just, please tell me what I can do!" Lauren begged, taking back Camila's face in her hands. Wiping the tears with her thumbs. "Baby, please look at me." She pleaded.

Camila looked up to see the once lively green, beautiful eyes, now full of angst and sorrow because of her. She did that. She made Lauren sad. Even more of a reason to leave.

In a small a voice Camila gave in, "...I- I don't deserve you..." the flood burst and she broke down further into tears, dropping herself to the floor and hugging her knees to her chest. Then Lauren started laughing a little bit. Camila looked up puzzled at her reaction. With a chuckle, Lauren dropped to the floor too and used her thumb to wipe away the tears, a small smile on her face.

"Babe, you can't be serious right now!" Camila was even more puzzled now. "I would love to give you a list of why you deserve me and why I'm not worthy of you right here, right now, but, sweetheart," Lauren raised Camila's chin once again to peer into her eyes. "That would take all day and all night and the rest of my life."

"But Lauren, you! You are perfect! You are successful and beautiful and all kinds of gorgeous an so so smart and funny and understanding and passionate at everything you put your mind to and incredible at everything, you deserve someone who can support you! Someone who doesn't have baggage and screws up everything and has a bad past and has no job! Someone that isn't as fucked up as I am!" Camila rambled.

"Babe, that's part of why I love you! Your baggage, your screw ups, your bad past it all just makes you who you are today. And the best part is that you choose to learn from it and grow from it. And that is what I call smart and stunning and passionate. It's all part of your beauty. Is that why you want to leave? Don't go, Camila."

"Yes, I have to because you're worth so much more and deserves to be so happy and-"

"You! You make me so happy! I love you so much! Leaving me won't make me happy. Please don't go."

"But its for the best-."

"No it's not. I love you and you love me. It doesn't  have to be anymore than that."

"Okay." The small voice relented. Camila finally tucked her head into Lauren's shoulder and hugged her chest, clearly emotionally exhausted by the evenings events. "I'm sorry."

"No. You don't have to be sorry. Just please promise me to never leave me. Promise to love me. Promise you won't go." Lauren wrapped her arms around her tightly, as if she would leave at any second.

"I promise."
