Motel
"Oh my god! That was a rush!" Sam shrieks while punching the air as Dean drops the box on the bed, chuckling to himself at her actions. "I feel like I can do anything! Let's go back, kick some ass!"
"I don't think that's a good idea," Dean comments while shaking his head. "How about I train you first, then we figure out what to do."
"Train me? I go to the gym!" Sam cries back. "I took kick-boxing and karate."
"Then you should be fine in a little training match," Dean replies with a smirk.
"Fine," Sam grumbles as her eyes scan across the room again. "Right, the box!"
"Shouldn't we just wait till tomorrow? I'm tired." Dean whines.
"You just ran." Sam scoffs while shaking her head as she takes the cover off the box. "Woman up."
"Woman up." Dean mimics before grabbing a few folders, Sam grabs a couple as well and walks to the table with Dean walking to the bed. They both sit in silence while sipping beers, reading and reading the hours away.
Later
"Holy shitballs!" Sam screams, waking a half-asleep Dean.
"What what?" Dean yells while waving his gun around.
"Did you know that some of the Avengers had kids? Even the X-men!" Sam replies as she squinted her eyes at the small writing.
"No." Dean shakes his head. "That's bull."
"Says here that all of the kids went missing with them but four, the other four were separated from them at young ages," Sam explains. "Doesn't say why."
"Who's kids? Like the four." Dean demands.
"Uh, two were Captain America's. One was Charles Xavier's and the other was Logan's." Sam replies. "Woah, Xavier had a kid."
"Well, shit." Dean mumbles while running a shaking hand through his hair. "You want a burger? I'm going on a snack run."
"Sure." Sam shrugs, ignoring the sudden subject change. "I could eat."
"Okay, extra pickles right?" Dean questions.
"Of course," Sam smirks as Dean closes the door behind him. Now alone in the room, Sam sighs and picks up another unread folder. Four images fall out of it, landing on the floor almost right next to each other. "What the hell?" Sam slowly reaches down and grabs the four images, her eyes widening in surprise as a loud gasp leaves her lips.
"Nonononono." Sam shakes her head as she rushes to her duffel bag, she pulls out a small book that's been with her for as long as she can remember. Quickly, Sam flips through several pages before stopping on the one she needed.
It was a picture of her and Dean, on their first day of kindergarten. Her first memory of her childhood, they both stood hugging each other with the biggest smiles; neither even looking at the camera.
Sam slowly places two of the pictures next to the one in the book as tears start gathering in her eyes. They were almost identical matches, even the clothes seemed to be the same. Sam is about to have a 'freak out moment' (As Dean calls them) but she stops when she hears the roar of Dean's car coming back.
She curses under her breathe while stashing the pictures and book back into the duffel bag, Sam wipes the tears with her shirt while rushing back to her chair. She quickly places her feet on top of the table just as Dean decided to open the door.
"Hey, got extra pickles!" Dean smiles.
"That's great." Sam nods with a fake smile before turning back to the file. "I still haven't found squat, I think we grabbed the wrong box."
"Or you, you are the one who chose." Dean chuckles.
"I guess so," Sam mutters while shaking her head. "Guess I'm just a horrid guesser huh?"
"Nah, I think you have potential." Dean jokes.
"Shut up. Let's eat."
3am
Dean looks up from his file when he hears something across the room drop to the floor with a flutter. He chuckles to himself to see Sam sprawled out on the chair with her mouth slightly open, her chest rising and falling with every breath.
Quietly, Dean walks over to her side and picks her up bridal style; causing her to instantly cuddle up to his side. Dean shakes his head and turns off the light before walking over to the bed, slowly he lowers her down onto the soft mattress but Sam refuses to let go of his shirt.
"Come on Sammy," Dean grumbles while trying to get out of her grip. After a minute or two of trying, Dean just shakes his head and crawls into bed beside her. Opening his arms to allow Sam to cuddle closer to him before pulling the blanket over them both. "What the hell am I going to do with you?"
