The car ride was shorter than the journey away from the city, it felt as if they had been in the car for ten minutes before they were pulling into the parking space in front of Dean's old apartment. Sam lets out a deep breath while climbing out of the car, dressed in her full uniform for fighting.

Dean soon follows with his guns in his pockets, his demeanor oldy calm. Sam leans against the car door as he comes to lean next to her, both of them silent as they watched the world around them.

"It's quiet," Sam whispers. "Too quiet."

"It means they're coming." Dean mumbles.

"Or they're here," Sam adds.

"I miss my car." Dean comments.

"I miss your car, this Hydra van is cool and all but...the car was better," Sam replies.

"Always is." Dean nods. A large crash comes from down the road, Sam doesn't even flinch. "I guess they're here."

"Stick together?" Sam warily questions.

"What else are we going to do?" Dean chuckles. "I mean, it's just like old times?"

"We can try?" Sam shrugs as an explosion sounds. "I guess we work better together."

"Yeah, we do." Dean sighs while pulling out his gun, Sam soon follows. "I guess we better get this show on the road then, huh?"

"Dean?" Sam questions while grabbing his arm to stop him from walking away.

"Yeah?" He demands.

"I'm sorry...for how I acted." She slowly shakes her head while looking down at her feet. "I was just really angry with you."

"Yeah, I got that message." Dean laughs. "But I'm sorry too, I didn't mean for it to go that far."

"Good, glad we're going happily." Sam nods.

"What do you mean?" Dean raises his eyebrows.

"Isn't it obvious? All of Hydra against two of us." She rolls her eyes. "We're obviously going to die."

"We just don't get separated." Dean sternly states.

"The world would be a better place without me anyway." Sam rolls her eyes before she starts to walk towards the point where the explosions started.

"What?" Dean demands.

"It's obvious, Dean." Sam shakes her head without turning to look at him. "The world would prosper."

"You're joking right?" Dean demands, Sam doesn't answer. "Oh my god, where do I begin about you? I know right now it feels like you can't do this anymore, I feel it too! But you don't stop being a soldier because you got wounded in battle."

"Dean-"

"You said this world would be a better place without you in it because none of it, none of it is true." He continues. "I can't do this without you, I can't. You're family and all these people need you, I need you."

"Dean, I-"

"Did you know that when I do picture myself happy, it's with you." Dean interrupts for the second time. "I need you to see that, Sam. I'm begging you. So don't you dare think about checking out without a fight because I sure as hell am not going to let you."

"Dean," Sam whispers with a small smile. "That was the same speech you told me-"

"Six years ago when you were in that slump," Dean replies. "I remember and I know that you probably needed that now."

"It helps." Sam shrugs.

"Then let's kick this thing in the ass," Dean smirks. "Together."

"Just promise me that we aren't going to get separated, 'cause then we're screwed." Sam states.

"Promise."

Ten Minutes Later
Opposite Side Of City

Sam smashes another agents head into the wall before collapsing against it with a loud groan, her forehead already gushing blood. She and Dean had gotten separated ten minutes after they had talked with one another by the van.

Explosions had ripped through the streets which caused them both to go on different streets to avoid getting blown to bits. Neither of them had heard from the other since. Sam looks up when something snaps from the end of the alleyway and her eyes widen when she sees a lot of agents making their way towards her general direction.

"Oh my god," Sam whispers under her breath while squeezing her eyes shut. "Please, I need Dean. I need to go to Dean."

A gust of wind rips through the area and the wall behind her disappears, she stumbles and an arm grabs her to get her steady. "Sam? How the hell did you get here?!"

"Dean?" Sam gasps while opening her eyes, quickly wrapping her arms around his torso. "Oh my god, I thought you died!"

"How did you get here?!" Dean repeats.

"I don't know! I just closed my eyes and wished I was with you because there were a bunch of dudes with huge guns and I really didn't want to-"

"Okay okay." Dean chuckles while grabbing her shoulders. "Calm down, obviously you're high on adrenaline and....-"

"I know!" Sam cheers. "What if I've got powers? We could kick ass!"

"Calm down." Dean orders. "We'll figure this out."

"Okay." Sam nods but a loud noise from a block away causes them both to snap their heads in that direction.

"But later." Dean states. "Because now we have to run."
