(Y/N) P.O.V

"Why is Pippin taking so long?!" Merry growled. He turned around and looked at you, and sighed. "I'm sorry, (Y/N). Pippin is just making me worry. We're supposed to go raid Farmer Maggot's farm again, and I'm getting a little hungry." You walked over to him, and put your arm around his shoulder. "He'll be back." You told him, smiling. Merry looked at you with a shocked face, "you spoke! You haven't spoke in almost a week! You've hardly even talked since you've met us, too." Merry grinned widely at you. That's why you spoke. You knew it would cheer up your best friend. 

You froze when you heard what seemed to be a growl. You looked at Merry, wide-eyed. He started laughing, "that was my stomach, you silly girl! Not a cave troll!" It seemed like he would fall to the ground laughing, but somehow he stood his ground, wobbling every so often. "Think fast!" You yelled, and shoved him when he was wobbling. He screeched and fell over, making his fit of giggles even bigger. "You're a sly one, (Y/N)." He said. Out of nowhere, he grabbed your arm and pulled you down beside him. It was now that you realized how comfortable you were with this Hobbit. Even though you haven't been friends very long, you can trust him with your life. You sighed, and looked up at the sky. The clouds were so beautiful, and reminded you of "(Y/N)! Are you okay?" Merry was sitting up, staring at you.  You nodded, brushing off the idea of possibly liking "(Y/N), (Y/N)!" Merry was repeating, snapping his fingers in front of your face.

You looked up at him, and smiled. Those eyes.. Those beautiful, green eyes.. You quickly snapped out of it to see Merry still staring at you. "Are you sure you're alright? You haven't been very responsive." You nod vigorously, and sit up beside Merry. You hear Merry clear his throat, and turn to see if he was going to talk. Instead of him talking, you were met with soft, loving lips. Merry was kissing you. Merry was kissing you!! Meriadoc Brandybuck was kissing you! You felt fireworks go off in your heart. You didn't even notice you were kissing back. Merry pulled away, and you felt those fireworks fall over and miss-launch. You already missed him. You hear a sniffle coming from the woods, and look over to see Pippin, arms out as if he was holding something. You look below him, and see a pile of apples. He saw us.. You think to yourself. 

Merry stood up, "Pippin, it was an accident." Pippin dropped his arms, and stomped over to you and Merry. Pippin stood tall, trying to seem taller than the Hobbit that kissed you. "You've known since the day we met her, Meriadoc, that I have loved her!" You stare at Pippin after hearing those words. I have loved her.. You see tears coming out of Pippin's eyes, and you feel a rip in your heart. Your two friends.. They were fighting. Because of you. Because of you, (Y/N)! In the side of your thinking, you hear the two start yelling at each other. You didn't know what to do. You didn't want to make it worse, but you didn't know how to make it better. You start feelings tears streaming down your face. No, they can't see me like this.. You whisper, and run off towards Bag-End.

Before you read on to the next part!! I just want to say, I am sorry for not answering messages. (this is primarily towards you, FrodoFangirl123 .) My messaging is being an absolute poo right now, saying that conversations are disabled on my account. I just hope Wattpad fixes it soon.
