I hummed a soft tone while I dried the glasses of the drinkers. I heard someone slam a glass down on the bar, and I turned to see a good-looking Hobbit. "One more, pretty lady." He slurred, the drunkness showing. I grabbed another mug, and filled it up to the brim, foam and all. I handed it to the Hobbit, and he thanked me with a wink. I shrugged off his creepiness, and went back to drying mugs. "It's getting late, you should go home, honey." I heard Rosie say behind me. "Rosie, you're the one with thirteen children, you should go home instead." I put my hand on her shoulder gently, and smiled at her. "You sure you got this, now?" She asked me. I nodded. Rosie hugged me, "I will see you tomorrow, then." She smiled before ignoring the jealous, drunk Hobbits and heading home.
I walked by the counter when I noticed a Hobbit with hazel, curly hair watching me. I smiled at him, and he turned away. Strange.. I noticed he was with another Hobbit with almost the same color of hair. Must be brothers or something.. I shrugged. I picked up another glass elegantly, and cleaned it as if it was gold. I glanced at the two Hobbits again, and the same one was staring at me. I looked at him questioningly, and he started talking to his friend. I grinned, then filled up two glasses. I walked over to the two Hobbits, and the one's friend tapped the other's shoulder, then looked up at me from his chair. "Here you go." I smiled, and placed the mugs on the table. "Thanks. The name's Merry." The taller one nodded. "(Y/N). Very nice to meet you, Sir Merry." I smiled. Merry looked over at his friend, then slapped his shoulder. His friend looked at me, and I could see him blushing. "The n-names Pippin..." He almost whispered, then looked away, blushing.
"It is very nice to meet you, Pippin. If you two need anything, come talk to me up at the bar. I'll serve you right away." I smiled to the both of them, then walked back to the bar. I looked back at the two, and Merry was shoving Pippin, laughing. I shook my head, smiling.
~Time Skip~
I was serving Bodo Proudfoot when I saw Pippin walking up to the bar, very unsure of himself. He kept looking back at Merry, who was egging him to go on. I looked over at him, and smiled. He saw me, then immediately turned and looked at Merry, who was trying his best to get Pippin to go on. "Hey, Pippin." I said to him, making his eyes go wide and fill with nervousness. "Do you need something, honey?" I asked, walking over to him. He seemed to have froze, as still as a statue. "Pippin?" I asked, worried. He then looked at me, and croaked, "W-would you like to dance with me?" He asked, then immediately turned away with a red face. "I would love to." I said in a giddy voice. Pippin took my hand, and I followed him to the open spot in the Inn.
Pippin put his hands around my waist, and I shivered, not expecting it. "S-sorry.." He said, and pulled his hands away. "It's okay, Pippin. I just wasn't expecting it." I smiled at him, trying to reassure him.
~Bippity Boppity Boo, A Time Skip for You~
Pippin and I were dancing for a while, having fun and laughing our lungs out. "Hey, can I show you something?" Pippin asked after a fit of laughter. "Yeah, go ahead." Pippin then flung his arm out in a weird way, and looked at me sternly. "I call this, Pip Foo!" He then swiped his hand in front of my face and let out a weird squeal. I burst into laughter, "Pippin, stop!" He was still swiping his arms, letting out weird squeals with each throw. "Pippin, you're going to kill this poor girl." I heard Merry holler from the table. Pippin and I both looked at him, then at each other, and burst into even more laughter.
We stayed there for a little longer, until it was time for the Inn to close. "Pippin, we should be leaving now. It's very early in the morning." Merry stated to his giggly friend. Pippin looked at me, then hugged me. I stood shocked for a few seconds, then hugged him back. "It was nice dancing with you, (Y/N)." He told me. The two walked towards the door when I called out to them, "You two should come over for tea tomorrow! I live by Bag-End. It's the Hobbit Hole with the yellow door and the leaf-clover shaped window." I smiled to the two. Pippin nodded back, "we'll be there." They left the Inn, leaving me to dream of the wonderful day of tomorrow.
