"Will he remember me, Gandalf?" I asked the mighty wizard on the horse next to me. He grumbled to himself, then answered: "I am sure he will." That's a lot more reassuring..I thought to myself. The first time in years that I'm going to see my brother, and the wizard taking me says he's sure?! That's quite reassuring. "Don't worry yourself of it, (Y/N)." Gandalf said, breaking the silence. The ride there went silent. I was heading into home territory that was controlled by a powerful elf who might not even remember me.

"Gandalf." Legolas bowed, respecting the Grey Wizard. Gandalf tipped his pointy hat, and led me into Mirkwood. I glared back, seeing Legolas looking at me suspiciously. I quickly turned my head to face the back of the wizard in front of me. "Keep near me." Gandalf whispered back. I nodded slowly, then continued walking. This place was just as beautiful as I remember. I left when I was younger, much younger. I was sent to speak to Elrond about our spider problem, and when I came back, I was banished with no reason in mind. I still do not know why I was kicked out. I did nothing wrong, that I know of, and I am no harm to this kingdom.

I used to always ask Elrond if he knew of any news, or my courting partner, Haldir, if he knew anything. No news, even though one was a lord, and the other a patrol. I guess I shall figure out today, if I make it past the guards..

"Gandalf, welcome." A young female guard welcomed the wizard, then quickly turned her gaze to me. "And you are?" She asked sternly. I stumbled upon my words, then smiled and took a bow. "Kirlen of Lothlorien." The guard bowed her head, welcoming me into my old home. Once we got past the dirt paths, we got to the busy part of the elven place. There were many elves bustling about, children staying with their mothers, and even a stable. But, the same light it had when I was here did not seem to appear. The land seemed dimmer in a way, as if the light was not shining as brightly as it once did.

"Keep up, (Y/N). I do not wish to risk you getting in trouble." Gandalf's old, stern voice broke through the chattering voices of elves. We walked through the small crowds, sometimes getting looks of strangeness, or looks from the kids of knowing. Gandalf must be pretty popular.. I thought after a group of kids yelled Gandalf's name, only to be shushed by their mother. "Right this way, Gandalf." A young, red headed she-elf took Gandalf's attention, and started leading him in the direction of my brother's throne.
