Safe and Sound

Disclaimer: This isn't going to follow the scene 100%! Sorry! I'm going off of memory, and altering it a tiny bit to put the character in. Thanks for reading! Deuces!!

"Bilbo... Slow down." I complained, trying my best to stay near the other hobbit in the revolting smelling caves. He didn't answer, but only climbed over a side of the cave coming out. I tried my best to follow, but stopped short when I noticed a small open cavern, and Bilbo hiding behind a stalagmite. 

The sound of the creature Bilbo was watching was almost unbearable to my ears. I covered them tightly, still watching the small, hairless creature drag away a twitching body. "B-Bilbo, we should leave.." I whispered to him, afraid the monster would come after us. Instead of answering, he adventured past the stalagmite and picked up something small, and gold. He examined it, Sting in hand. He looked at me, then towards the sound of the monster. "Bilbo, don't you dare!" I whispered to him. He ran off towards the sound, and afraid of being by myself, I followed him.

We got to a big, open cavern, and stopped when we heard the creature screaming. "Precious!!" It was screaming over and over. "Bilbo, we need to get out of here.." I said amongst the verge of tears. I was scared to death, I didn't want to die here!

We were looking for a way out when I felt something warm against my neck. I turned slowly and almost screamed when I saw a pale face with light, blue eyes. "Who is this precious?" It asked, looking deep into my eyes. Bilbo ran to me and stuck Sting in the monster's face, "don't you dare touch her! Get back! I'm not afraid to use it!" He said with a shaky voice. 

The monster stepped off a bit, but not enough for my comfort. "Why has precious come here?" "We're lost. We need to know the way out, if you would be so kind." Bilbo tried to reason with it. "Precious will show the way out if you answer riddles." I sighed, at least Bilbo is great at riddles..

~Time Skip~

A few riddles later, Bilbo and I were running from the monster. We won, but Bilbo showed him that he stole his ring. Bilbo pushed me under some broken stalagmites before putting on the ring, disappearing. I watched the creature jump over where I was hiding, then heard his wretched breathing. 

After a while, he seemed to have given up. He was screaming "precious", "thief", and "Baggins" over and over. He soon ran off, and Bilbo and I escaped the cave soon after the others, safe and sound.  

~Another Time Skip For You~

"Where's Bilbo?" Someone in the company asked. I couldn't recognize the voice, for I was too far away. "I knew he was going to run off." I recognized Thorin's angry growl. Bilbo and I caught up to the group, and everyone stopped arguing and stared at us. "There's our burglar, and his friend." Gandalf laughed. Fili and Kili ran over to me and hugged me tightly, "thank goodness you're not dead!" "I thought those goblins got you!" The two both said in worried voices. "Guys, I'm okay." I smiled at my friends. The two were like older brothers, being there ever since we left Hobbiton. I looked over at Thorin, and he was glaring at me. I nodded in respect, then continued telling Fili and Kili what happened with the horrible beast. But, Bilbo and I got out, safe, and sound.
