Hey everyone! Just a side note before you read this! I'm gonna go ahead and not write the fighting scene for Ren.. I have no idea how to write a fighting scene for crap right now, so I'm just going to do a different styled scene! OK BYE!

I jumped to the next tree, knocking down a few leaves. They flew to the ground as if they were free at last.. Free at last.. I heard the echoes of the trees all around me. Are you kidding me.. I thought to myself. Last time I had to deal with these trees, I almost got killed. I would be dead if it wasn't for Mr. Bombadil. Him and his singing always seem to save the day. I peered down from the leaves, searching for my prey.

"The beastly tree threw me in! I felt it! The big root just twisted round and tipped me in!" I heard a frightened voice holler. I skipped through the trees to find the source of the voice. I looked down to see two halflings: One was soaking wet, the other trying to calm him down. The halfling with hazel hair informed the other, "You were dreaming I expect, Mr. Frodo. You shouldn't sit in such a place if you feel sleepy." Trees throwing him in the water? I doubt it.. They've never done it to me, why would they do it to this halfling?

"What about the others?" The one with the brown, curly hair asked. I tried to look for others, but couldn't seem to get my eyes off him.. As if, I was attracted to him.. "I wonder what sort of dreams they're having." They seemed to lock eyes, then ran to the other side of the tree and the one with hazel hair stopped. I then looked around, and saw a pair of big, hairy feet popping out of a tree. Are you kidding me?! Not this again! I growled. The two halflings started banging on the tree which held their friend completely. They were distracted, I might as well try to get their other friend out. I quietly glided down to the other tree, landing in front of it. I turned to see the other halflings giving up on the first tree. I froze, they were going to come over here and see the foul beast that I am. I quickly hid behind the tree, just in time. They came over, and tried to pry open the crack like a child does a wrapper.

"What a foul thing to happen!" The brown haired halfling said to his friend. "Why did we ever come here?!" He cried. He kicked the tree as hard as he could, and stepped back in anger. I heard the trees laugh at him, "don't make fun of this little halfling!" I whispered to them all. "He's trying to save his friend from your clutches, why don't you just let him go?" I asked the tree holding the halfling inside. The tree whispered back to me, but it was quickly covered by the halflings talking. "I'm guessing we don't have an axe in our luggage, Mr. Frodo?" The hazel haired halfling asked. So the brown haired one is Frodo.. Why does that name sound so familiar? "I brought a hatchet for firewood, but it wouldn't be much use." Frodo told his friend.

I had an idea. The trees were afraid of me when I first came here, bubbling with anger and heat. They were afraid of me, because of my "WAIT A MINUTE!" The halfling yelled, interrupting my thoughts. "We might do something with fire!" He informed Frodo. "We might.. We might succeed in roasting Pippin alive inside." Frodo sighed in doubt. "Do you hear that? They're going to burn you if you don't let their friends go! They're going to burn you to a crisp, and I'll help!" I said, banging against the side of the tree. "We might try hurting or frightening this tree, first. If it doesn't let them go, I'll cut it down, even if I have to gnaw it! The hazel haired halfling ran over to the ponies, then came back with two tinder boxes and a hatchet. Woah.. They were serious.. I didn't think they were serious, I thought they were just threatening the trees... Everyone around here knows not to mess with the trees.. I had to see what they were doing! I silently, yet carefully, climbed up the back of the tree and sat above the halflings, watching them.

They were scrambling to get dry leaves and sticks and placing them in front of the tree. "Oh no.." I whispered. "Just let him go!" I whispered to the tree. I heard it's leaves shake, then I suddenly felt nothing under my feet. I spread out my wings to try and balance myself, but I landed face flat onto the ground. I groaned, and lifted my head up to see two halflings staring straight at me. The hazel haired halfling had the hatched in his hand, ready to strike. "Who are you?!" He demanded. I pushed myself up slowly, trying to catch my breath.  "My name.. Is Ren. I am no harm to you." I put my hand on my back, where the pain was. "Sam, maybe she can help us." Frodo said. "Do you know how to open the trees?" He came over to me and asked. "I don't know how to, other than burning them, but that's not the smartest move. We need Mr. Bombadil, he knows how to do it." I informed the two. I looked over at the halfling Frodo called Sam, and he seemed very frustrated.

Just then, we heard singing from far down the path. Bombadil.. Everyone knows his singing anywhere.. "Help!!" Frodo started yelling, running down the path towards Tom. The two came back, and Frodo showed him where his friends were trapped. They don't need my assistance anymore. I thought to myself, then climbed back up a tree, and started my way down the path. I stopped when my back started hurting more and more. After a while, I heard Tom's singing again. I hopped down from the tree, and waved to him. "Good day to you, Mr. Bombadil." I smiled. "Ren! Nice to see you! Come with me!" He laughed, then started skipping back down the path. I looked behind him, and I could see not two, but four halflingss following him as if he was their prey.

I waited for them to get to me, then I stood up, and stepped out of the darkness. "Frodo! It's the thing again!" Sam pointed. The other three halflings looked at me. The two that I had not met looked at me in both awe and fear. "Um.. Ren." I told Sam. "Ren, where are you going?"  Frodo asked, stepping towards me. "I am going to Mr. Bomadil's house." "Frodo, she should come with us!" a hazel/blondish haired halfling with an accent said. Frodo looked from him, to me. "You could walk with us." "That's Sam, Pippin, and Merry." He informed me, pointing to each halfling with their name. "And I'm Frodo." He pointed to himself. "It's very nice to meet you all. My name is Ren." I smiled and nodded, showing a sign of respect.

We started walking to Mr. Bombadil's house when Pippin broke the silence: "So, Ren, what are you exactly? I've never seen something like you before." I sighed, "well, Pippin, I am part of a so-called extinct race called the Maiy-Durs. We were born from a couple formed by a bewitched dragon and a wizard. It's a long story.." The group then went back into silence. "It's getting dark.. We should catch up to Tom." Frodo told everyone. I grinned. We could all just fly there.. Wait.. They don't have wings.. I sighed, I hated being the only one with wings in this place.. I pulled my wings back against me as much as I could so the others wouldn't take notice. We quickened the pace, and we got to Mr. Bombadil's right before nightfall.

Sorry that this is a bit long! I didn't really know where to cut it, so.. Yeah. BYE!!
