~November 11, 2014 at Nick and Selena’s house
Selena: Nick? Where are you?
Nick: I’m in the study.
Selena: *walks into the study* What’s wrong?
Nick: I can’t do this.
Selena: *walks over to him and holds him* It’s going to be okay, Nick.
Nick: How would you know? This isn’t happening to you. I have to leave you and the kids for two months.
Selena: To get healthy. Babe, I know this sucks. But you have to do this for you and for us. I love you so much and I know you can do this. Nothing has stopped you before and it’s certainly not going to stop now.
Nick: I know. You’re always there for me and I’m so happy you’ll stay with me through this.
Selena: What time is your dad coming?
Nick: Any minute now. He’s going to call and then I’m gone.
Selena: Come with me. *pulls him up from his chair*
Nick: Where are we going?
Selena: You have to realize that you will always be loved by me and by Nathan and Natalya.
*They both walk to the babies’ nursery*
Nick: Lena, what are you trying to show me?
Selena: Our kids are the reason you want to survive in this world. I’m here because I’m the only one to prove it to you that you are worth every minute of life.
Nick: There isn’t any moment where I could live without you. You are my life and so are Nathan and Natalya. I need you so much.
Selena: And I love you so much not to let you go again. Just promise you will try while you’re at Promises.
Nick: Ok. I promise.
Selena: *giggles* How cute.
*Nick’s phone rings*
Nick: Hello?
Kevin Sr.: Hello son.
Nick: Hey Dad. Are you almost here?
Kevin Sr.: I’m outside. Say your goodbyes now. *hangs up*
Nick: It’s time.
Selena: *tears forming in her eyes*
Nick: Baby, please don’t cry. I can’t stand to see you like this.
Selena: I know. It’s just that it’s going to be hard without you here. You not being with our kids. I just want you to stay, but I want you to be happy.
Nick: Selena, you were the one who made me happy every time I saw your beautiful smile. I’ll always love seeing you and hearing your sweet voice. Come on, let’s just do this already. I don’t want to make this any harder on you.
Selena: Ok.
*They both grab Nick’s suitcases and take them outside to Nick’s father’s car*
Kevin Sr.: Are you ready, Nick?
Nick: Don’t talk to me.
Kevin Sr.: Watch yourself. I don’t need to deal with your disrespect once we arrive at Promises.
Nick: Fine.
Kevin Sr.: *sighs* How are you, Selena?
Selena: I’m okay. Just kind of hard to let Nick go.
