Selena: *strums her guitar, then puts it down* *sighs* I miss you so much, Nick. *phone rings* Hello?
Nick: Hey Selena.
Selena: Nick! It’s so good to hear your voice again.
Nick: It’s not been easy for me either. I can’t handle it without having you by my side every day.
Selena: I’m sorry, baby.
Nick: I mean the hours are kind of strict, but I like it when I’m sitting outside with my guitar.
Selena: That’s great.
Nick: I thought you were coming to visit.
Selena: I know. But it hasn’t been easy for me either. I do have to take care of Nathan and Natalya by myself. My mom comes by a few times, but that’s just it. Demi is busy with her own life and Joe continues to go out with his friends. I’m really worried for her.
Nick: *sighs* I was worried this would happen. I knew I couldn’t trust Joe with Demi.
Selena: Nick, don’t get involved with them. Remember what happened last time? Just let them figure it out. They will get past this for their baby.
Nick: Let’s hope.
Selena: I’ve been okay, thanks for asking.
Nick: I love you too. Have you done any planning so far?
Selena: Just looking at colors and flowers arrangements for the centerpieces. I don’t get much time to do that with the little ones crying.
Nick: I’m sorry I’m not there with you, Lena.
Selena: It’s okay. But for a while, I play on my guitar and I’m working on a song.
Nick: Really? Can I hear it?
Selena: No…
Nick: Why not?
Selena: Because I’m not done and I want it to be perfect.
Nick: I’m sure it’s amazing and I can’t wait to hear it.
Selena: I don’t know. I had to sample from Mariah’s Triumphant because I needed a hook and it just worked.
Nick: I don’t think you can do that.
Selena: Calm down. I got permission from her manager and they’re helping me with the rhythm.
Nick: What?
Selena: I’m planning on releasing this song.
Nick: Are you sure about that?
Selena: It’s happening, Nick. I think it’s very sweet. I really don’t care if it makes it onto the charts. I just want people to hear my side of the story.
Nick: Alright then. I obviously cannot stop you.
Selena: I also put in a line from you.
Nick: What do you mean?
Selena: You’re just going to have to wait.
Nick: I’m very impatient, Selena. And if it’s something from our recordings, you got to let me know.
Natalya: *cries*
Selena: Damn it. Look, I got to go, Nick. Natalya is upset.
Nick: Goodbye, Selena. *hangs up*
Selena: What was that about? *upset* Not again. Please don’t do this to me again. *phone rings* Hello?
Nick: Selena, I’m sorry for talking to you like that. I didn’t mean it.
