While Selena and Nick are anxiously await the ceremony, everyone else has been trying to get themselves prepared for the event as well. Denise and Mandy are trying to perfect everything in the reception hall before moving into the ceremony hall. Denise was working with Meredith on the lighting while Mandy was talking with all of the servers to ensure they would not drop any dishes for the dinner to take place.

Denise then walked away from Meredith and went outside into the hallway to give herself a quick minute to relax from the pressure of planning the reception.

Soon Mandy comes out into the hallway and sees a distressed Denise. “Are you alright? You look really stressed out, Denise,” she states, “Maybe you should take a break from this and just rest for a bit. I can handle the rest of the planning for you.” Thing is for Denise, it’s never enough for her to handle until everything is perfect in her eyes, so she wasn’t going to allow the planning to Mandy though they need to share this responsibility for their children.

Denise says, “Don’t worry too much for me, Mandy. I am a bit stressed out, but that’s mainly because I want everything to go perfectly tonight for Nick and Selena.” It’s obvious to Mandy that Denise wants total control of the wedding, but she wasn’t going to let that happen if this wedding was for her daughter.

“Are you really going to keep going until you break down?” Mandy tells her sarcastically, “Because I’m sure everything will go nicely later. There is no need to worry so much.” Denise understands this, but it’s much different for her and how she wants everything to go. “Let’s just go to the ceremony hall and see what needs to be done there. I promise you I’m fine,” Denise reassures her.

It’s hard for Mandy to believe that Denise is willing to be a compassionate mother-in-law for Selena, but she has never given up on her daughter’s decisions though many of them have nearly destroyed her life. So she had to let this go if she wanted a stable friendship with Nick’s mother.

While walking to the ceremony hall, they both kept discussing about the wedding and what they hope for in their children’s lives. They never really imagined seeing this happen to Nick and Selena since the last time they were dating was in 2010 and they never reconnected as friends after that.

So for Nick to almost rape his ex-girlfriend and to lose Olivia, they were clueless as to why he did it in the first place. “Denise,” says Mandy, “were you ever concerned about Nick’s behavior when he was around Selena four years ago?” Things like that worries Denise because she knows Nick would never risk hurting his career or losing someone that he loves. “Of course not. I always trusted Nick with her. He always had a kind soul and loved her very much,” Denise tells her.

Upon arriving in the ceremony hall, largely decorated with white roses and Swarovski crystals, they saw all the work that was requested by both Denise and Mandy that they knew Selena had wanted. Since Selena’s favorite color was green, they had added a few touches of the crystals surrounding the flowers at the altar and in the aisle leading up to it. As well as in Selena’s wedding dress. The entire hall had been cleared out so that they could seat over 300 people from both sides of the family and their friends.

They were impressed with the work they had done for Nick and Selena to have the wedding they were hoping for since trying to hold onto their struggling relationship. Both mothers have worried too much for them because they couldn’t hold onto their relationship long enough without breaking up and trying to leave one another.

Since the last time that Selena had tried leaving Nick, Mandy couldn’t take it. She was convinced that Nick isn’t in a stable position in his life to marry her daughter and to keep custody of his children. It was the reason she pleaded with Selena to finally leave Nick for her own safety, as well as the children’s, because she needed to raise them whether she kept Nick in their lives or not. It was until Nick had nearly died and was sent to the hospital, Selena was devastated and needed Nick again. Mandy isn’t going to let his mistakes ruin what she expects for her daughter ever since she became a mother herself.
