Chapter Nine-You Can't Resist
I've been avoiding the Alpha for the past week. He hasn't called me either, thankfully.
I honestly don't know what I'd do or how I'd react if he called me to his office or to the basement.
My body tensed at the thought.
It's been hard walking outside the comfort and safety of my room since the day of my 18th birthday because when I do, I get glared at by girls younger or a little older than me. The older girls loved having their fun with the Alpha.
I wanted to say, "Go ahead, you can have him. Don't cry when he shows you how much of a monster he actually is," but I didn't.
My wolf longed for her mate but I refused to go to him.
He could put up with the pain of not having a mate just like I was. I would have my revenge for what he's done to me.
He killed every piece of good in me. I wanted to kill him. I wanted to take back all those years he broke me.
I shifted in Abby's bed, starring at the closed door a few feet away from me.
"I miss you," I said, running my fingers over the silky pink comforter that adorned her bed.
Abby had always been obsessed with the color pink. I just hope she's doing ok.
A shaky breath whispers across my lips and I glanced at the time.
I had missed first period. I didn't go to school today, I didn't feel like it. Plus, the Alpha went there to run an errand. If I stayed here I would have less of a chance running into him.
I sighed, getting off my sister's bed and walked to the kitchen, lacking energy.
There was absolutely nothing to do in this cursed pack house. I had no friends, I didn't have my sister, and my mate was an ass.
"Alice," A husky voice said, lowly.
I stiffened, my hand curling tight around the glass I had just grabbed from the cabinet.
"Alpha." I spoke in a monotone voice.
Make him think that he doesn't have an effect on me. He'll leave me alone then.
"Turn around, Alice. Look at me," He ordered but I stayed frozen.
He chuckled darkly.
"So that's how it's going to be. You're going to play hard to get," He asked and I whirled around before I could stop myself.
"Play hard to get? Are you out of your god-damn mind! I will never accept you, get that through your head! I hate you. Don't you understand that? There is no way in hell I'll accept you as my mate." I growled at him and he was in front of me so fast that my head began to spin a little.
The scent of wood and pine intoxicated me and it took every ounce of my energy not to moan at his touch as his hand trailed up my arm. His face was inches from mine.
My eyes went to his lips and they pulled into a smile.
"You can't resist me, mate," He breathed down on me, his teeth nipping my ear.
His face lowered closer to mine, before our lips could touch, I turned my head.
"No," I protested and shoved him away.
He stumbled at bit, not expecting it. He growled before stalking back over to me.
"I said no, leave me alone," I snarled, slapping him across the face.
"You have no right to come to me. You have to right to try an be my mate, not after what you did." I shook my head.
"You'll be sorry about everything." I said before I walked away, leaving him stunned.
