Chapter Eleven-You'll Learn To Obey Me
Alice come to the basement immediately The Alpha called through the pack link.
Coming, Alpha I replied.
I sighed quietly before getting up very slowly as though not to wake up Abby.
It's been a few months since our parents' death. They were killed out on their shift of border patrol when rogues attacked. Put mom was killed first since dad was still alive, barely, when I got there. He was by mom's side, whispering things as he had his face buried in her hair.
I cried as he died in front of me. Abby didn't understand then since she was so young.
I climbed down the steps to the first floor and then descended the rest of the steps to get to the basement.
It was unfinished so it looked a little creepy but I kept from shaking as I approached the Alpha.
He was new to the position. He's been Alpha for a few months since his parents were just killed as well. They were over in another pack's territory when rogues attacked there and ended up killing them before they knew what was happening.
"Yes, Alpha?" I whispered, taking a stand only a few feet behind him out of respect.
"Come closer." He ordered.
I obeyed and scurried to his side. My eyebrows furrowed when I saw his brother chained to the wall.
"Kill him." He demanded and I started shaking my head.
"That's not right, why do you want your brother dead?" I shook a little.
"Kill him." He repeated.
"No." I whispered.
What was wrong with him? Why does he want his own brother dead? Were the rumors true? Did his brother really want to steal the Alpha's position?
"Now before I kill you." He threatened.
His brother was unconscious so he didn't know what was going on. I wanted to slap him awake and scream at him to escape so I didn't have to do this awful thing to him.
"Now!" The Alpha screamed and I began to cry.
I was scared. So very scared.
I launched myself at his brother, shifting in the process before ripping the boy's throat out.
I whimpered before shifting back into my human form, curling into a ball and sobbing.
Blood covered me and I refused to look at the Alpha's brother's body. I killed him.
I felt a hand collide with my face and I held in a shriek of pain.
"You'll learn to obey me pup or I'll kill you and your sister." The Alpha spat before leaving.
I was a monster now.
