Chapter 2

Snake's POV:

About two hours later we return to Mother Base safely, it was only for a matter of time before we Diamond Dogs move to another location. Eli knows much about our location already and might attack soon enough for our cargo. I see Kaz and Ocelot talking as they wait for my return. We land and Quiet, as usual, turns invisible walking to her room. The alien was brought and restrained in the medical platform.

Kaz looks upset and he is worrying about the giant alien. Couple of hours later after I rest we stare at it and it stares us back, ugly thing. Ocelot approached to it carefully as our scientist analyze it. Why hasn't it attacked? What is its purpose here on Earth? "Boss, we have to destroy this thing. We can't risk our men from keeping it alive.", Kaz said but I didn't listened like most of times. Kaz is a great man but for him is difficult to find trust. I get close to the alien as well, multiple soldiers ready to fire in case of something gone wrong. "What are you? Where you come from?", I asked to it, it doesn't say a word.

What if Kaz is right? What if I'm risking my men for something I don't know? The creature moves quick and Quiet shoots it, I look at her. I walk to her, place my hands on her shoulders, "Hey calm down it's okay. Quiet, I won't get hurt." I tell her, she thinks the thing is going go hurt me but it just moved. I turn around and it shrieks a lot making us cover our ears and crouch. It stands shrieking for 2 minutes, I tranquilize it and works. I could sleep it and stays asleep, however Quiet's shot didn't do a thing. No wound or pain, not even bleeding, how can we destroy it then?

Maybe it requires a bigger blast, either rocket launcher or Saholanthropus. Why did it shrieked though? ...No...maybe it was calling for others if the shot wasn't effective. Now this time I fucked up, I didn't destroy it when I had the chance. Oh boy, talk about an alien invasion I think we might witness one. At night I smoke a phantom cigar to kill time until Quiet comes and I stop. "I'm sorry about what I did. I thought it was going to attack you." She says looking at me, I shake my head telling her that it is ok, I was a little afraid it could've attacked. I look at her and I can see she is lightly blushing, she's liking me far more. I look away clearing my throat and she frowns a little looking up. "Why don't you get some rest. Tomorrow we have a lot to do. I will see you tomorrow." I say before she nods walking away invisible. Fuck, I hurt her, nice job Jack, you messed up again. That's twice today I sit down outside again after food and a shower looking up the stars.
