Part 45 - The Body

I stood in the room and approached at the door to my right. I left the room with the vase with my rose fully intact.

When I stepped into the next room, my eyes widened in shock.

There before me was a person sprawled out on the floor.

I approached him slowly... I tapped his shoulder, but he only grunted slightly. He didn't seem to be in any condition to get up at the moment. In fact, it didn't even seem as though he was awake at the moment.

Because the man was lying face down, I couldn't see the front part of him, but I could tell he was wearing a blue, tattered coat, pale brown pants, and black shoes. His hair was a light purple color with a few darker streaks in it.

I tapped him once again, but he wouldn't wake. I stood up, about to continue onward, when I noticed that in his hand he grasped a key tightly. I pulled it from his grip and maneuvered around him. I figured I could always come back later and help him after I finished exploring this area of the gallery.

I passed another painting on the wall titled, "??? Art".

I couldn't read one of the words, so I continued on down the hall

I couldn't read one of the words, so I continued on down the hall. I was surprised to find that not only at the end of the hall was there a door, but the Spitting Painting was waiting as well. It's red tongue wiggled back and forth in it's smile, and it followed me with it's scarlet gaze, but I kept my distance.

Once I reached the next room, I saw a door towards my left that was being blocked by another statue. It was black, headless, and wearing nothing but a royal blue tie.

I froze for a moment, weary that it would come to life and chase me like the one in the red dress, but it didn't seem to move at all so I approached it cautiously

I tried to move it, but it was too heavy.

I guess I had nothing left to do but turn around towards the left hallway...
