Chapter 6

Perries POV

Alex and I went and sat down at the table, we sat opposite each other leaving the two end seats for Caitlin and my mam. Mam brought the food in, as it was Monday we were having pasta (luckily Alex's favourite meal) so I was very happy. "Oh Alex, it's so good to see you again how've you been?" Mam asked with a beaming smile on her face.
A: I'm good thanks, what about you mrs Edwards
D: great thanks Alex but you know you can still call me Debbie
A: of course
C: how come you've not been round in so long Alex?
I felt my body tense as Caitlin asked that question, she knew it was because of me, but she just wanted to see what Alex would say
A: erm I've just been busy, me and pez have both had lots on our mind so didn't hang out much
I knew he wouldn't blame it on me.
Caitlin gave me a harsh smirk because she knows it's my fault that we didn't hang out much.
D: are you okay perrie?
P: yeh yeh I'm good
D: sure?
P: mhm
C: she's just "tired" as always
A: well thanks for the meal Debbie, it was lovely
D: you're welcome love, you know you can come round whenever you'd like to
A:thank you, I should get going now
D: are you sure, were going to watch a movie, you can join us if you want
A: I mean I don't want to gatecrash
D: don't be silly Alex, the girls don't mind do you?
Man looked at me and Caitlin hinting for us to answer
C: of course you can stay
I knew caitlin would junk at the opportunity for Alex to be near me, she really wants us to get together.
P: sure
I smiled at Alex whilst rolling my eyes sarcastically.
He giggled under his breath, God he's so bloody cute, he's perfect.

Caitlin's POV

I can tell perrie likes Alex, she makes it so obvious and I can see through all her little lies. Maybe mam can't but I definitely can. If I'm being honest Alex is like a big brother to me when Jonnie is away, which is a lot. Jonnie and dad go away all the time to do small gigs and other stuff, and even when they're home they're usually at the pub. That's one reason why I like having Alex round, the other reason is that he makes perrie really happy. He doesn't know it yet but I'm determined to find a way to show him how happy he makes her.

Alex's POV

Debbie put the DVD in the player and we waited for it to load, of course we were watching a Disney film. Perrie looks gorgeous, her hair falls perfectly over her shoulders and her blue eyes pop in contrast, she's like a real life Disney character. I wish she knew how much she meant to me. All of a sudden I snap out of my daydream and find perrie looking at me and smiling, I realise I've been staring at her this whole time "sorry for staring pez" I mouthed to her, she understood what I was saying and gave me a forgiving nod before locking her eyes back in the screen.
Perries phone buzzed and she began reading a message. She read over it three or four times before a small year began to form in her eyes. I didn't want Debbie and caitlin to worry about her so I decided to message her.
Alex💙- what happened? Sorry I don't want to talk in the film x
Perrie👸🏼- it's another message from zayn. He says I'm a slut and called me a fat ugly bitch because I don't want to be with him xx
Alex💙- ignore him, he's the ugly bitch. Your amazing perrie, you know how much you mean to me, jade, jesy, Leigh, Aaron, Jed and Claud xx
Perrie👸🏼- thanks Alex xx
Alex💙- if you don't mind me asking, who do you like, I mean you told me you love someone else not zayn but who is it? Xx
Perrie👸🏼- oh erm well it's no one you know xx
Alex💙- ok xx
I felt my heart sink as I read the last message she sent me

Perries POV

That's not what I wanted to say, but it's what I had to, I know he doesn't like me in the way I like him

No ones POV

Little did Perrie know that Alex was in love with her just as much as she is with him. They all sat in silence watching the last part of the movie. Once it had finished Alex gave everyone a farewell hug (still in the friendly way) and left the family to go to bed. As soon as Debbie had gone to bed caitlin snook into perries room to tease her "you like him you like him" she whispered to Perrie
P: "and"
C: "he likes you"
P: "no he doesn't caitlin"
C: "he really does like you Perrie"
P: "what proof do you have"
C: "well you see, when he was messaging you I saw his phone"
P: "oh so you were spying on him? Real cool caitlin, real cool"
C: "no... well yes but that's not the point, do you know what emoji he has next to your name?"
P: "yes the one I told him to, a smiley face"
C: "ah, you see that's where you're wrong older one"
P: "urgh! Just get to the point tidge"
C: "well it's the queen one you know 👸🏼"
P: "that doesn't mean he likes me"
C: "it does, it means he wants you to be his queen"
P: "in case you haven't realised, he's not a bloody prince, he lives down the street from us not I the friggin palace"
C: "in case you can't read between the lines, he wants you to be his so he can treat you like a princess"
P: "and now I'm going to take dating advice from my little sister"
C: "and why wouldn't you? They call me the love doctor at school"
P: "seriously? You're more pathetic than I thought"

With that caitlin walked away from perrie and went to bed. She knew she was right but she just needed to prove to Alex and perrie how much they both loved each other
