Chapter 35

No ones POV

Perrie woke up to Elsie crying outside the bedroom door, she rolled to the side slightly and looked at the time, 5:30 am. Great she thought as she sat up slowly. She walked towards the door and opened it revealing a fragile Elsie curled up in a ball. "Elsie baba, what's wrong?" Perrie cooed, she sat down beside her knowing that she'd struggle to get up. "I'm scared mumma" Elsie replied through her tears, "why baba, what happened?".

Elsie nuzzled her head into perries side, being careful of the bump. "Some of other children at playgroup said I won't be a good big sister to the babies" Elsie murmured, Perrie was shocked at how mean young children can be, "no, Els, baby don't listen to them. You'll be the best, most caring big sister in the world. I promise you, you'll always be the best big sister to these three girls" Perrie convinced the four year old.

"But mumma, why would they say I won't?" Elsie said with tears in her eyes, "are they your friends Els?" Perrie asked, elsie looked up and shook her head. "Well then, they don't know you well enough to say something like that" Perrie told her daughter.

"I love you Mumma" Elsie whispered wrapping her arms tight around Perrie but being careful of the Bump. "I love you more little snugglebug" Perrie replied giving Elsie a kiss on the forehead. She lifted Elsie to help her stand up "go back to bed for a bit sweet" Perrie whispered, Elsie nodded and toddled into her bedroom.

Perrie went back inside her room and got into bed with Alex, "hey, you okay babe?" Alex whispered, "yeh, sorry did I wake you up?" Perrie said sympathetically, "babe, what's up?" Alex whispered placing his hand on perries.

"What was Elsie like yesterday at playgroup?" Perrie asked, "she seemed okay, there was a group of like three kids who she wouldn't talk to but she went off playing with a little girl called charlotte. Why?" Alex replied softly, "oh, she was sat on the floor outside crying because some kids had told her she wouldn't be a good big sister. And she believed them" Perrie told him.

They sat and cuddled for a while before deciding that they both needed to get up, Perrie slipped into an over sized tee and some leggings and went to wake Elsie. Alex three his joggers and a top on and headed downstairs to make Perrie and Elsie's breakfast.

Perrie had woken Elsie and got her dressed in leggings, her red doc martins and white tee with a red leather jacket over the top. She then put her hair in two Dutch braids with a small red ribbon at each end.

"Mumma am I going out today?" Elsie asked, "yes baba, you dadda and Louis are going to go to Harry's house with caitlin, Charlie and Ellie" Perrie replied. "Okay, what about jadey?" Elsie asked, "jades coming over to our house to spend the day with me" she answered, "why?" Elsie asked another question. "Because me and jade are best friends Elsie and we want to have a day together" Perrie replied, becoming agitated with the number of questions the toddler was asking.

They went downstairs and ate their breakfast, "right come on my little elsiebug, let's go to hazzas house" Alex said grabbing his phone and the car keys, "bye Mumma" Elsie shouted as she ran out the door and hopped in the car.

Jade had been at perries for about three hours now and the first film had just finished. Perrie felt a pain in her abdomen she gasped quietly and held her stomach, "I'm gonna get a drink" she said walking out the room slowly. She got into the kitchen and the pain got worse, Perrie held on to the unit whilst she tried to regulate her breathing, then she realised her leggings were wet, she looked down and saw the large puddle of water she was now standing in.

Perrie broke down into tears, "JADE" she cried. Jade ran in to the kitchen, "pez wha--" she stopped speaking as she saw the puddle, "right I'm gonna phone Alex and get you to the hospital" she spoke calmly.

"Hello" Alex said, "hey Alex, its jade you need to get to the hospital. We're just getting in the car perries waters have broke and she's having contractions" jade said quickly before she hung up and began to drive to the hospital. Perrie was hysterical in tears, "argh ouch it hurts so much" she moaned as jade drove as quick as she was allowed, "FUCK. I don't know how I ever did this jade!" She yelled, "it's fine Perrie, is gonna be with you and then so will Alex okay" jade calmed Perrie down again

They arrived at the hospital and jade helped Perrie inside, Perrie hadn't stopped crying since she realised what was happening "perrie edwards, I think she's in labour" jade said to the nurse who saw the pain Perrie was in and quickly took them to a room, "here's your room, so we have a gown here for you to put on and we'll come and check on you in about 10 or 15 minutes" the nurse said. She walked out and slowly shut the door.

"Jade, I need Alex" Perrie cried, "I was supposed to be with him when this happened, this wasn't supposed to happen for another two months jade". Jade could see the pain and stress in perries eyes, she threw her arms around her and gave her a hug, "shhh, babe you'll be fine. Alex is on his way, you've got Everything you need. Please calm down bubba, you're gonna be in more pain if you stress yourself out" jade cooed into perries ear.

Jade helped Perrie to change from her clothes into the gown, "jade I need to lie down" Perrie gasped as she began to feel light headed, the nurse knocked softly on the wooden door, "come in" jade shouted. "Hi girls, so Perrie how are you doing sweet?" The nurse asked, "I'm in pain" perrie replied bluntly, making jade giggle a little.

The nurse told Perrie the best position to sit for now, "right I'm gonna have to check how dilated you are Perrie, this might hurt about sweetie" the nurse said as she bent perries legs up and rolled the gown to a decent position. She reached her hand up perries gown to check her dilation. Perrie gasped in pain at the first little touch, she squirmed as the nurse place her hand slightly further, "owe shit" she said as she moved a little. "I know it hurts Perrie but please stay still" the nurse said, she tried again to place her hand to check but Perrie just squirmed and moved again. "Stay still Perrie I can't do this if you're moving" the nurse said, her tone was becoming more and more harsh, jade could see that this was making Perrie upset, she walked over and grabbed her hand, "Perrie babe, you'll be fine, please stay still baba" she whispered. Perrie managed to stay still while the nurse checked. "So you're having a pretty quick labour by the looks of it, you're already 7cm" the nurse said.

"I NEED MY ALEX" Perrie shouted as she began to cry again, jade leant down and hugged her again trying to calm her down.

Suddenly the door burst open...
