No ones POV
------------------

All of the kids had been in bed for a while and were asleep so Alex and perrie took the option to sit downstairs and watch a movie.
Nearly halfway through she received a text.

Unknown number hey Perrie, I know we've not spoken for numerous years but I want you to know that I'm sorry about everything I said. I never meant to hurt you and I never meant to lose all my friends because of it. I've not stopped thinking about how what I say affected you, I'm truly sorry. And I know you probably won't have any time to reply because I'm sure you're busy with the kids, but please read my message at least. I'm sorry.

The next day

Perrie heard the doorbell go, she walked to the door leaving Alex in the lounge with all four girls (Elsie 10, Hailee, Jasmine, Faelynn 6). She opened the door after checking through the peephole, "hey" she said to jesy. "Come 'ere" jesy said pulling Perrie into a tight hug. "Come in" Perrie said taking them all into the lounge.

"So girls introduce yourselves" Perrie smiled, "I'm Elsie, I'm 10 years old" elsie smiled happily. "I'm Hailee I'm 6 years old" Hailee spoke confidently, she loved meeting new people just like elsie. "Hi, I'm Jasmine. I'm 6" jasmine said, a little quieter than the last two. "I'm faelynn, I'm 6 too" she said quietly.

"This is jesy" Perrie said, she felt happy that they could finally be friends again. "Boys" jesy prompted them to introduce themselves. "I'm Dylan and I'm 6 like you three" Dylan said, to Perrie he seemed like he would get on with Elsie and Faelynn, he seemed to have a mixture of their personalities. "Jack. I'm 4" jack announced, he seemed like a young, boy version of hailee.

Elsie stood up along with Hailee and Jasmine, "come on Dylan and jack" they said, not realising Faelynn was still sat down. They all ran off to the garden to play, Faelynn stayed in the lounge sat with Alex, Perrie and jesy. "Faebaby come 'ere" Alex said, Faelynn stood up and walked over to Alex before joining him on the armchair, "what's up?" Alex asked. "Nothing" Faelynn replied. He knew she was telling the truth. If something was wrong with any of the girls they would be the same as Perrie and say they were good or they were fine. He also knew she just needed time to adjust to the new people around her before she would join in.

"So jesy, who's the kids dad?" Perrie asked, "Liam, you know Liam Payne" jesy said, she knew Perrie would recognise the name. "Oh really, wasn't he in the year above at school?" Perrie asked, "yeh he was. And I'm sorry jesy but I hated him back then" Alex added.

"Oh no it's fine. He was a total d*** back then" jesy said (faelynns still there which is why she didn't say the word). "Yeh he was" Alex said, he didn't tell them what had happened between him and Liam but they didn't need to know anyway.

The three adults had been talking for around half an hour with Faelynn sitting quietly next to them, joining the conversation every now and then. Suddenly Dylan came in the room, "you okay Dylan?" Perrie asked. "Um yeh thanks. I just came to see if - uh - if Faelynn wanted to come play outside with us all" Dylan spoke softly, Faelynn looked over to him, they could all tell she was still uncomfortable with having new people around her again. "Uhm. No thanks, I'm gonna stay here" Faelynn said quietly, "I'll stay inside with you if you want" Dylan said softly, Faelynn nodded her head before the two went over to the other side of the lounge which was separated by a small wall in the centre.

It had been at least 3 hours since jesy arrived, "urgh, I'm gonna have to go shopping gift tea, bet separating the kids will be fun" she said sarcastically. "Ah no jes, they can stay here, we'll watch them won't we Alex" Perrie said, Alex nodded along. "Oh thank you babe, see you in a bit. I won't be long" jesy said as she rushed out the door.

Elsie had gone upstairs to do some drawing, leaving Hailee and Jasmine to play with Jack, they were playing a game of football, which wasn't the best with only three of them. "Hey, let me play" Alex said as he jogged outside, he joined on the team with jack against the two girls.

Perrie stayed inside with Faelynn and Dylan, "faebaby, do you want to watch a film?" Perrie questioned, "um no thanks, we're just listening to some music" Faelynn replied. Perrie smiled at how comfortable the two 6 year olds were around each other, she knew they'd be great friends.

Perrie decided to go and check on Elsie as she'd not been down in a while. She walked upstairs and knocked on her bedroom door, "Els?" She said as she went in and sat next to her on the bed. "What's up baba?" Perrie asked, "you're not going to like what I'm going to say mam" Elsie said bluntly, which Perrie thought was quite strange for a ten year old, but Elsie was very mature so she left it. "Well what do you want to say?" Perrie said, "I want to meet my real dad" Elsie said taking a deep breath, Perrie gasped as she heard her daughter say this. "But Els, Alex is your dad. Not biologically but he has been a real dad to you" Perrie didn't want her to meet zayn at all.

"I know mam. It's just, I want to know about him, I'll never love him as a dad. I will always love dad (Alex) much more than him. But I want to know who he is and what he was like" Elsie said. "Well. I can tell you about him if that's what you want. But he's really not a nice person Elsie and I don't want you to meet him because of what he's like. But if you want to know about him, I can tell you some stuff, but I don't think you'll like the person that he is" Perrie exclaimed. "I want to know mam. But maybe in the future, I'm not so sure now is the best time" Elsie said. "I agree baba" Perrie smiled softly as she cuddled the young girl.

They went downstairs to find that Alex had come back inside with the three kids, he was sat on the sofa in the lounge with all five of them watching tv. Elsie walked into the lounge and sat on the sofa, Perrie stood at the doorway, she didn't go inside but she looked at Alex until she got his attention, he smiled sweetly towards her, which she returned before giving him the 'come here' nod. He looked puzzled but followed her to the kitchen anyway.

"What's up?" He asked, "don't be mad. Please. But Elsie asked if she could meet her real dad" Perrie said quietly. "Babe, why would I be mad? You didn't say yes did you?" Alex questioned. "No I told her that he wasn't a nice person and that I don't want her to be around him. But we agreed that at some point in the future I will tell her a bit about him" Perrie exclaimed.

Alex stood for a minute processing what he was hearing, "she still loves me doesn't she?" He questioned, knowing that he'd been the father figure for the whole of Elsie's life. "Yes. Of course she does Alex. She told me that she would never love zayn as much as she loves you. And even if she met him you'd still be her dad" Perrie said giving him a hug, she knew it wasn't Alex's favourite topic of conversation and it definitely wasn't hers, she was barely able to say zayns name without having horrible flashbacks of that night.

"I love you Alex" Perrie said as she gave him a kiss, "I love you too" he mumbled into her cheek.

Present time

"Elsie, Hailee, Jasmine, Faelynn its time for bed" Perrie shouted up to them.
"Urgh mam! I'm four years older than them can I not stay up a bit later?" Elsie questioned. "No it's already late Els. Go to bed" Alex added quickly, smirking at perrie as he did. The pair missed spending the night to themselves quietly watching a film. After around 10 minutes all four kids had gone to sleep. "They're angels aren't they" Perrie whispered to Alex, "they're our angels baba" he said. Perrie nuzzled closer to him her eyes growing heavy as she did, "im so tired babe" she whispered, Alex lay down slightly and pulled Perrie onto his knee, lying her down to the side of him. She was on her side with her head resting on him and her arms wrapped tightly around him. "I don't deserve this. Darling you look perfect tonight" Alex whispered in the tune of his song that he'd written, "I don't deserve you" Perrie replied.

Alex continued to hum the tune of the song that he'd written for Perrie years ago when she was pregnant with the triplets, as he did her eyes began to flutter and soon enough she was asleep.

"I love you baba" he whispered placing his head gently on perries.
