"Mom, I need help. I have a wardrobe crisis."

It's Friday evening. Rory is in her bedroom packing an overnight bag for her overnight date with Jess. She's panicking because nothing fits.

"What's wrong?" Lorelai runs to her room to see Rory's closet emptied out into her bed.

"None of the clothes fit me. I look hideous in my underwear. I need my mommy and I am not too proud to say it." Rory's panic can be heard in her voice.

"Hon, we just went shopping for new maternity clothes. They should all fit you."

"Oh, they do. It's just they're not sexy. I look fat in all of them. And my boobs are huge. They look gross in my underwear. The dresses fit all weird. What the heck was I thinking when I said yes to this overnight date? I look big and frumpy." Rory is almost in tears.

"Ok, Rory let me introduce you to something wonderful and magical. It's called pregnancy. That means you are growing a human in your belly. That also means you will gain some weight. But that does not mean you are fat. Your boobs are getting bigger because your body is preparing for a human child. And all this," Lorelai points up and down at Rory, "it's called hormonal imbalance. Another symptom of the miracles of pregnancy."

"That doesn't help. I need to find clothes to wear."

"Ok, let me help you out. Now these jeans and that pale pink sweater would be great for the drive. Comfortable and not too distracting so Jess can keep his eyes on the road. This blue dress with some leggings underneath would be good for a dinner date. Now for the bedroom, this is a cute nightgown. Says come hither. But not too much."

"But what about the bra and underwear situation? And during the day. What do I wear during the day?" Rory starts panicking again.

"Hon, I think it's time for the baby bird to learn how to fly." Lorelai kisses Rory on her forehead before she leaves the room.

It's Saturday morning, Rory is sitting in the living room waiting for Jess to pick her up. The plans are for him to come around 8 AM.

There is a knock at the door, Rory runs to answer. Standing in his leather jacket with a crooked smile on his face is Jess.

"Good morning." Rory looks at his hands and sees him with two cups of coffee and a paper bag. "I thought it would be a good idea to eat first before hitting the road."

Rory lets Jess in. Takes the coffee and put them on the entrance table before grabbing Jess and pulling him in for a deep kiss. "Good morning."

"I like this greeting." Jess laughs as he holds Rory closer to him.

"Well I had to make sure the coffee is safe first before kissing you. Priorities, babe. Got to have priorities." Rory laughs along with him. "Come on. Let's head to the kitchen, eat first before we go."

As they sit and enjoy breakfast together, Jess can't help but stare at Rory. "Do I have food stuck in my teeth or something?"

"No. Just watching." Rory blushes.

"So where are we going?" Rory asks.

"You'll see. I am not telling you. It would ruin the surprise."

When finished with breakfast, Rory closes the house and follows Jess to his car. "So you're still not going to tell me where we are going?"

"Nope."

"Does someone at least know where we are going in case we get abducted?"

Don't worry. Someone knows." Rory notices a small glint in Jess's eyes.

"You are aware that Lorelai Gilmore will search the galaxy for me if I were to go missing. You might need to be put in witness protection if something were to happen to me."

"Rory just get in the car. Nothing is going to happen. And don't worry. Your mom knows where we will be. Do you think she would let you go if she didn't know?"

"Ok fine. Just remember you have precious cargo in this car."

"Don't you trust me?" Jess smirks at Rory as they get in the car.

Rory sits in the car anxious to arrive at an unknown destination.

Jess grabs hold of her hand. "Don't worry. I'll take care of you and Bean."
